Severino (0-1) took the loss Friday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and one walk over four innings against the Dodgers. He struck out two.

Severino's third start was his worst start of the season, as he allowed more runs (7) and home runs (3) Friday than he had allowed runs in his previous two starts combined. He threw a season-high 83 pitches, as he should be stretched out to go deeper in games when he is more effective. His ERA sits at 5.28, but six of the nine runs he has allowed came in a single inning. His next scheduled start is against the White Sox, when he will look to get back on track.

Kremer (6-2) earned the win Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings against San Francisco. He struck out six.

Kremer had a terrible April, posting a 6.67 ERA, but he has lowered it down to 4.43 with six consecutive starts of at least five innings while allowing three runs or less. With the Orioles' surprising success, Kremer has racked up victories. He is two wins away from his career high of eight. While he is not going to provide elite strikeout numbers, his K/9 has jumped from 6.25 last season to 7.48 in 2023. Kremer is scheduled to face the Brewers in his next start.

Keller (shoulder) threw a live BP session Friday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Keller went on the injured list May 19 and resumed mound work a week later. He may need a couple more bullpen or batting practice sessions as he recovers from right shoulder impingement syndrome. It has yet to be determined if he'll require a rehab assignment.

Civale allowed four hits and two walks over five shutout frames during Friday's loss to Minnesota. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.

Civale returned from the injured list and made his first start since April 7. He worked around danger multiple times but turned in his second scoreless outing of the season. His velocity was up across the board compared to his first two starts, including his fastball which averaged 92.5 mph. Civale will carry a 2.04 ERA into his next outing, which is lined up to come at home against the Red Sox next week.

Ober yielded four hits over six scoreless in Friday's win over Cleveland. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Ober allowed just one Guardian to reach scoring position, and he dropped his ERA to 2.33 with his first scoreless appearance since May 5. The 27-year-old righty registered a 4.09 ERA over his previous four starts but he walked just five batters during that span. Ober is projected to start in Tampa Bay next week.

Olson (0-1) took the loss Friday versus the White Sox, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out six over five-plus innings.

Olson traded zeroes with Mike Clevinger for five frames, but the White Sox were able to make some noise against him and reliever Will Vest in the sixth. Despite the end result, it was an encouraging big-league debut for Olson, though the White Sox are far from the toughest opponent in the league. If the right-hander gets another turn in the rotation, he lines up for a road start in Philadelphia next week.

Clevinger pitched five shutout innings Friday versus the Tigers, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out six in a no-decision.

Clevinger returned from a minimum-length stay on the injured list due to right wrist inflammation, and it sure didn't look like the wrist was bothering him. The right-hander threw 53 of 73 pitches for strikes, and the only thing that kept him from the win was the White Sox's late-arriving offense. Clevinger trimmed his ERA to 4.13 with a 1.39 WHIP and 46:23 K:BB over 52.1 innings through 10 starts. The key now will be to stay healthy, as he's had more than his share of injuries over the years. The 32-year-old is projected for a tough road start versus the Yankees next week.

Valdez (6-4) earned the win Friday over the Angels, allowing five hits and a walk while striking out seven over seven scoreless innings.

Valdez has been in peak form over his last three starts, allowing just one run across 22 innings in that span. He's earned a quality start in 10 of his 12 outings this season, including five of his six starts since the beginning of May. Valdez owns a 2.16 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 84:16 K:BB over 79 innings and continues to serve as Houston's staff ace. He's projected for a road start in Toronto next week.

Lyles allowed one run on two hits and a walk over five innings in Friday's loss to the Rockies. He struck out eight and did not factor in the decision.

Lyles produced what was easily his best start of the year but got no run support. The 32-year-old forced a season-high 14 whiffs on 74 pitches but his record remains at 0-9 on the year while he still sports an unsightly 6.89 ERA through 66.2 frames. Lyles is currently lined up to start in Miami next week.

Castillo (4-3) yielded one run on five hits and a walk over seven innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against Texas.

Castillo fired five shutout frames before finally coughing up a run in the sixth. The Mariners were shut out, resulting in him taking his first loss since May 16. He's posted a 24:5 K:BB while giving up just one run over his last three starts. Castillo had allowed 12 earned runs over his previous three outings and now owns 2.55 ERA. He's lined up to face the Angels on the road next week.
