Lynn (6-2) allowed one run on three hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out 10 and earning the win over Oakland.

After Lynn allowed an RBI groundout in the first inning, he silenced the Oakland lineup over the next six frames, allowing just three baserunners the rest of his outing. The 33-year-old lowered his ERA to a stellar 2.40 alongside a 79:23 K:BB over 71.1 innings this season. Lynn will aim for his third straight victory against the Angels on the road Saturday.

Ryu (4-1) picked up the win Sunday against the Mets, allowing one run on eight hits across six innings. He struck out seven and did not issue a walk.

The Mets scored a run in the first, but that wound up being the only tally they could manage off the left-hander. Ryu earned his fourth win of the year and dropped his ERA to a tidy 3.00. The southpaw has not taken a loss since July 30 and will look to keep it that way when he takes the hill Friday against the Phillies.

Turnbull (4-3) allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings Sunday, striking out five and taking the loss against the White Sox.

Most of the damage against Turnbull came during a White Sox three-run fifth inning, but prior to that, the 27-year-old righty coughed up a solo shot to Eloy Jimenez in the fourth. After the disappointing outing, Turnbull owns a 3.94 ERA and 39:27 K:BB across 45.2 innings. Turnbull will look to get back in the win column Saturday at home against Cleveland.

McCullers (neck) is scheduled to start Wednesday against the Rangers, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

McCullers was placed on the injured list with neck nerve irritation Sept. 6, but he'll be able to return after spending the minimum of 10 days recovering. The right-hander underwent a procedure Tuesday that alleviated most of his pain, so it's unlikely that he'll have any limitations when he returns to the mound.

McKenzie (2-1) allowed five runs on three hits and a walk over 4.1 innings Sunday, striking out seven batters and taking the loss against Minnesota.

McKenzie was cursed by the long ball Sunday, with all five runs coming via home runs. He allowed a pair of two-run homers to Marwin Gonzalez and Ryan Jeffers in the third and fifth innings, and a solo shot by Nelson Cruz in the fourth. The 23-year-old rookie now owns a 3.91 ERA and 33:6 K:BB across 25.1 frames. McKenzie will look to get back on track in Detroit on Saturday.

Schmidt was optioned to the Yankees' alternate training site Sunday, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.

Schmidt made just two relief appearances during his time on the major-league roster. He had a rough showing in his debut but settled down in his second outing. The right-hander hadn't pitched in nearly a week, so he'll presumably get more consistent time to develop at alternate camp. It's unclear whether the 24-year-old prospect will return to the Yankees' pitching staff over the final two weeks of the regular season.

Keuchel (back) remains on track to start Thursday against the Twins, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

This had been the target return date and it sounds like nothing has changed in that regard. It's not official yet, but fantasy managers can expect to have Keuchel back for that matchup. He threw five innings Sept. 6, so he should be able to go deep enough to qualify for the win if he is efficient with his pitches.

Houck will make his big-league debut as Boston's starter Tuesday in Miami, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Houck is fully stretched out and capable of logging up to 100 pitches in his debut. He is not necessarily ready to have success in the big leagues, but Boston's rotation depth has been tested all season and they will turn to Houck in the rotation over the final two weeks. He lines up for two starts next week, with the second one coming at home against the Yankees. The 24-year-old righty is not on the 40-man roster but would need to be added this offseason as protection from the Rule 5 draft, so the Red Sox will get to see how he looks against big-league hitters before finalizing the 40-man roster during the offseason. He logged a 3.24 ERA primarily as a reliever in 25 innings at Triple-A last year after logging a 4.25 ERA as a starter at Double-A.

Houck is likely to start Tuesday's game in Miami, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Rodon (shoulder) was transferred to the 45-day injured list Sunday.

This doesn't officially end his season, as he last pitched Aug. 3. He is scheduled to throw off a mound Monday. That said, Rodon's health has been an issue for a long time and he hasn't had much success when he has pitched in games in recent years. Prospect Jonathan Stiever enters the rotation Sunday.
