Jose Quintana SP | COL
Jose Quintana records another no-decision
White Sox starter Jose Quintana recorded a no-decision Saturday in his day outing in Kansas City. Quintana lost a lead in the sixth and left the game shortly after.
Quintana gave up an RBI single to Salvador Perez in the sixth and Matt Lindstrom worked out of the jam, setting up the no-decision for Quintana. He allowed two runs on five hits and one walk over 5 1/3 innings and 92 pitches. Quintana struck out four and his ERA is now at 3.83.
The 24-year-old hasn't recorded a decision of any kind since losing to the Cubs on May 27. His last victory came back on May 21 against Boston. That said, he's pitching fairly well and has 64 strikeouts over 87 innings with a decent 1.25 WHIP. The White Sox haven't officially divulged when Quintana's next start will come. That said, unless something changes it is likely to occur during the doubleheader against the Indians Friday. -

Jason Hammel takes no-decision
Orioles starting pitcher Jason Hammel struggled a bit Friday against the Blue Jays, but was actually in line for a win when he turned the ball over to his bullpen.
Hammel fell behind early on a two-run home run in the first inning, and allowed one more home run before the outing was done. He left with a 5-4 lead, however, but the bullpen could not make that stand up in a 7-6 loss.
Hammel let up four runs on four hits and a walk, while striking out seven batters. He remains 7-4 on the season, with a 5.30 ERA heading into his next start, scheduled for Wednesday against the Indians.

Dallas Keuchel done in by the long ball
Astros starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel pitches well Friday, but made a few too many mistakes in a 3-1 loss to the Cubs.
Keuchel struck out a career-high nine batters and tossed his fifth quality start in a row, but he was hurt by the longball. Each of the three runs Keuchel gave up came by way of a solo home run, the first time he has allowed multiple home runs in a game.
Keuchel walked just one batter and scattered nine hits in his six innings of work while taking the loss, dropping him to 4-4 on the season. Keuchel's ERA rose slightly, to 4.25, and he has now tossed six quality starts in nine chances.
Keuchel will try to keep his solid run up in his next start, likely coming Friday against the Angels.
