The Dodgers selected Wrobleski's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City, and he'll start Sunday's game against the Brewers.

The 23-year-old lefty is one of the organization's top prospects and will make his way to the majors after being at the Triple-A level for less than a month. Wrobleski posted a 3.06 ERA and 1.04 WHIP over 13 starts for Double-A Tulsa to earn the promotion, and he allowed five earned runs with a 17:3 K:BB over his two outings with Oklahoma City.

The Rockies designated Hudson for assignment Sunday.

The right-hander joined Colorado on a one-year, $1.5 million contract in January but struggled to a 5.84 ERA, 1.64 WHIP a 48:46 K:BB through 17 starts. Hudson also had a 4.98 ERA in 18 outings last season, so he may not generate significant interest on the waiver wire.

The Rockies selected Gordon's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque, and he'll start Sunday's game against the Royals.

The 26-year-old hasn't pitched particularly well for Triple-A Albuquerque this season with a 5.35 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB over 33.2 innings, but he'll still receive a look in Colorado's rotation. Dakota Hudson was designated for assignment in a corresponding move, so there's an opening for multiple starts if Gordon showcases himself well in his major-league debut.

The Pirates placed Falter on the 15-day injured list Sunday with left triceps tendinitis.

Falter was pulled during his start in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Mets with what the Pirates initially termed as left posterior arm discomfort, but the team has now settled on a more precise diagnosis for the injury. He'll be ineligible to rejoin the Pirates for at least the next two weeks, and a clearer timeline for his return should emerge once he's cleared to resume throwing. The Pirates could activate Quinn Priester (lat) from the IL during the upcoming week to fill Falter's spot in the rotation.

The Marlins reinstated Cabrera (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list, and he'll start Sunday's series finale versus the White Sox in Miami, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cabrera will pick up his first start with the Marlins since May 7 after missing two months while recovering from a right shoulder impingement. Prior to being activated, Cabrera completed three rehab starts with Triple-A Jacksonville. Though he covered no more than four innings in any of those outings, he topped out at 67 pitches in his most recent rehab start this past Sunday, so he shouldn't face any major restrictions with his workload as he takes the hill for the big club. Cabrera went 1-2 with a 7.17 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 31:14 K:BB across 21.1 innings in five starts before landing on the IL.

Waldron did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings while striking out six.

Waldron allowed Arizona's first run in the second after surrendering a leadoff single to open the frame, along with two walks and a second single, the latter three all coming with two outs. He would then surrender a leadoff homer to Lourdes Gurriel in the fourth and was later charged with a third run after being relieved by Yuki Matsui in the seventh. Waldron has now logged quality starts in seven of his last eight outings, though he's allowed multiple runs in three straight. The right-hander has also issued multiple free passes in five of his last six starts.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said after Saturday's 7-5 extra-inning win over the Padres that Pfaadt (ankle) expects to make his next start, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Pfaadt was pulled midway through the fifth inning Saturday after he was struck in the left ankle by a 98-mile-per-hour comebacker. Fortunately for Pfaadt, X-rays returned negative and he was diagnosed with little more than a bruise, but the Diamondbacks want to check back in with the right-hander Sunday to make sure that his condition hasn't taken a turn for the worse. Pfaadt tentatively lines up to make his next turn through the Arizona rotation Thursday versus Atlanta.

Peterson came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Pirates, giving up two runs on five hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

The 28-year-old lefty ran up his pitch count and got the hook after 87 pitches (61 strikes), missing a chance to collect his fourth win of the season. Peterson has allowed two runs or less in four straight starts but has failed to complete five innings in two of them, leaving him with a 3.00 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 21:11 K:BB through 21 innings over that stretch. He could be the pitcher bumped from the rotation when Kodai Senga (shoulder) returns sometime after the All-Star break, but Peterson will take one more turn before the Midsummer Classic, lining up to face the Nationals at home next week.

Gomber (2-5) picked up the win over the Royals on Saturday, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings while striking out three.

Gomber managed to keep Kansas City's offense at bay throughout the contest, with the exception of a solo home run that he surrendered to Vinnie Pasquantino in the top of the sixth. The lefty allowed just two extra-base hits over his seven innings of work and didn't walk a batter for the third consecutive start. He's now gone at least five innings in four straight outings, though he's also given up six or more hits in three straight. Saturday marked the first time since May 22 (a span of six starts) that Gomber didn't surrender multiple runs.

Gore came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 14-6 win over St. Louis, coughing up five runs on six hits and five walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out five.

The southpaw has shown improved control and command overall in 2024, but Gore couldn't find the plate Saturday and needed 90 pitches (52 strikes) to record 10 outs, failing to take advantage of a huge offensive outburst by the Nats. He's failed to complete six innings in four straight outings and in six of seven since the beginning of June, stumbling to a 5.35 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 40:17 K:BB through 35.1 innings over that stretch. Gore will try to get back on track in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week against the Mets.
