Suarez (hamstring) was activated from the 15-day injured list Friday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Suarez isn't slated to rejoin the Phillies' rotation until Sunday in Milwaukee, but with rosters now expanded the team went ahead and activated him. The left-hander has missed the last couple weeks with a right hamstring strain. He'll carry a 3.88 ERA into Sunday's proceedings.

Lodolo will not require surgery on his injured left tibia, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

He is however done for the season, as previously reported. Lodolo finished the 2023 campaign having thrown just 34.1 innings with a 6.29 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and 47:10 K:BB. The southpaw still has plenty of upside heading into 2024, but he'll have to show he can stay healthy.

Dunn will undergo surgery to repair a torn anterior capsule in his right shoulder, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Dunn has been out all season with the shoulder issue and recently had a setback while on a rehab assignment. He could be sidelined well into the 2024 season.

Lucchesi is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse at some point in September and join the Mets' rotation, Tim Britton and Will Sammon of the Athletic report.

The exact date of the southpaw's promotion isn't yet clear. Lucchesi was optioned to Syracuse on Aug. 19 and isn't eligible to rejoin the big-league roster until Sept. 3, barring another player landing on the IL. The Mets plan to shift to a six-man rotation when they begin a stretch of 17 games in 17 days on Sept. 8, however, and may delay Lucchesi's promotion until then. He's performed well in six spot starts so far this season, posting a 3.54 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 22:10 K:BB in 28 MLB innings.

Senga is expected to make five more starts this season as the Mets keep an eye on his workload, Tim Britton and Will Sammon of The Athletic report.

New York plays 17 straight days beginning Sept. 8, at which point the team will shift to a six-man rotation -- making it easier to manage Senga's innings in his first North American campaign. He threw 162 innings in his final campaign for Fukuoka in the NPB, and is currently at 136.1 innings in 2023, along with a 3.17 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and strong 28.5 percent strikeout rate against an 11.1 percent walk rate. Senga is expected to make the first of those September starts Friday, at home against the Mariners.

Kennedy was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Friday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Kennedy will be available in relief for now but could be a candidate for a start or two while Hunter Greene (COVID-19) is sidelined. The righty has posted a 5.06 ERA over two starts and two relief appearances with the big club this season.

Greene was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Friday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Greene's next start had been scheduled for Monday, but he'll now be sidelined for at least seven days, per Major League Baseball's new COVID-19 IL rules for 2023. He could be back as soon as Sept. 8 versus the Cardinals. The righty allowed on unearned run over 5.1 innings in a win over the Giants in his last start.

Lynn (10-10) took the loss against Atlanta on Thursday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out one batter over 4.1 innings.

The Dodgers gave Lynn a one-run lead after one frame, but the right-hander quickly gave that back -- and much more -- in the second. In that inning, Ronald Acuna tagged Lynn for a grand slam in what ended as a six-run outburst for Atlanta. The veteran hurler gave up just one more run the rest of the way, but he couldn't escape taking the loss despite a valiant Dodgers comeback that fell just short. This was the first defeat for Lynn since joining Los Angeles at the trade deadline, and it was also his shortest outing over six starts in Dodger blue. He's posted a 3.57 ERA and 27:8 K:BB across 35.1 innings during that stretch.

Strider improved to 16-4 with a win over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out nine batters over six innings.

Strider gave up a run in the first frame before Atlanta put up a six-run second. The right-hander cruised from there until Mookie Betts tagged him for a three-run shot in the fifth inning. That cost Strider a chance at a quality start, but he still finished with his fourth straight victory. This was the first time during that streak that Strider has given up more than one run, and he put up solid numbers in August, going 5-1 with a 2.97 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 46:13 K:BB over 36.1 frames across six starts.

Adon (2-1) took the loss against Miami on Thursday, allowing five runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out three batters over five innings.

Adon struggled from the start, giving up a hit to each of the first two batters he faced in the contest. The right-hander didn't post any clean innings but hung in until the fifth, when a Jazz Chisholm three-run blast put the Marlins ahead 5-0. That was more than enough to tag Adon with his first loss of the year in a game during which Washington managed just one run. The Dominican hurler looks to be set for a rotation spot over the final month of the campaign, but his 5.90 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB over 29 innings on the season don't portend fantasy relevance in most formats.
