Wesneski was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday, Sahadev Sharma of The Athletic reports.

Wesneski had been pitching in relief of late and faring well, allowing two runs over 10 innings. He'll head back to Iowa, though, and it's not clear what role is planned for him there.

The Reds selected Kennedy's contract from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

Kennedy will start Tuesday's game against the Nationals in what will be his first appearance in the big leagues since 2018. The 28-year-old began this year pitching in independent ball before posting a 3.71 ERA and 37:12 K:BB over 43.2 frames covering eight starts at Louisville.

Elder (7-1) earned the win over Cleveland on Monday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out one batter over 6.2 innings.

Elder retired the side in order in just one of the innings during which he pitched, but the Guardians failed to score through six frames. They finally broke through with a pair of runs off the right-hander in the seventh, which ended his outing after 92 pitches. Nonetheless, Elder pitched well enough to notch his seventh win and record his fourth straight quality start. He's posted an uninspiring 15:8 K:BB over 25.2 innings during that stretch but has still managed an excellent 1.75 ERA and 1.01 WHIP.

Snell (5-7) allowed seven hits and four walks while striking out seven over five scoreless innings to earn the win Monday over the Angels.

Snell threw just 55 of 100 pitches for strikes in a wild start, but the Padres' offense gave him plenty of run support early on. His streak of four straight starts with double-digit strikeouts came to an end, but he's gone eight outings in a row without allowing more than two runs. Snell has a 3.03 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 121:46 K:BB through 92 innings across 17 starts. The 30-year-old is projected for a home start versus the Mets this weekend.

Grove allowed a run on five hits and two walks while striking out three over four innings in a no-decision versus the Pirates on Monday.

Grove threw 79 pitches (46 strikes), but manager Dave Roberts clearly didn't want him going through the order a third time. This was Grove's 10th big-league outing (eighth start) of the season, and he's covered at least five innings in four of them. The right-hander owns a 7.02 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 37:14 K:BB through 41 innings. With Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) out until at least mid-July, but it's unclear if Grove or Gavin Stone will get the nod when this spot in the rotation comes up again Saturday versus the Angels.

Keller (9-4) took the loss Monday versus the Dodgers, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven over five innings.

The Dodgers did their damage early in the game, as they managed just one hit over three innings versus two Pirates relievers. Keller had a couple of stumbles in June -- he's allowed exactly one run in three of his last six starts, but he's also given up at least four runs in the other three outings in that span. The right-hander is now at a 3.52 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 125:29 K:BB through 110 innings over 18 starts. Keller is projected for a road start this weekend against the Diamondbacks.

Webb allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out 11 over 6.2 innings, taking a no-decision in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Mariners.

Webb struggled to a 4.70 ERA over 38.1 innings in June, so this was a big improvement over his previous month despite the lack of a result. The solid outing trimmed his ERA to 3.38 with a 1.14 WHIP and 117:23 K:BB over 117 innings through 18 starts this season. The Giants' ace is tentatively projected for one more start before the All-Star break, which should come during this weekend's series at home versus the Rockies.

Mikolas yielded four runs on four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings in Monday's loss to Miami. He struck out two and did not factor in the decision.

Mikolas looked solid after coughing up two runs in the opening frame until the Marlins tagged him with two more in the seventh inning. He's given up at least four runs in four of his last five appearances, raising his season ERA to 4.51 through 105.2 innings. Mikolas is 0-3 during that stretch and hasn't won since May 30. His next outing is lined up to be on the road against the White Sox this weekend.

Garrett allowed three runs on seven hits over 5.2 innings in Monday's win over St. Louis. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

The Cardinals chipped away at Garrett throughout the contest, scoring one run in each of the second, third and sixth innings. It was his first time allowing more than one earned run since June 5, but he's given up three or fewer runs in nine of his last 10 starts. The 25-year-old lefty now owns a 3.61 ERA with an impressive 98:15 K:BB through 87.1 frames. Garrett's next start is projected to be at home this weekend against the Phillies.

Irvin (1-5) yielded three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings Monday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Reds.

Most of the damage against Irvin came in the fourth inning on Joey Votto's two-run shot. After posting a 5.67 ERA through his first six outings, Irvin owns a 3.71 ERA since the start of June. However, he's lost five straight decisions since his last win May 8. Irvin will carry a 4.70 ERA into his next outing, which is projected to be at home against the Rangers this weekend.
