DeSclafani (ankle) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday.

DeSclafani has been out since late April with right ankle inflammation. He's been throwing for nearly two weeks but apparently won't be ready for game action until late June. Per Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic, the veteran righty apparently hasn't suffered any sort of setback, but the Giants want to take things slowly with his recovery. This strengthens Jakob Junis's hold on a rotation spot over the next month.

Grove was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.

Grove was called up for his major-league debut Sunday against the Phillies but spent just one day on the roster before heading back to the minors. He gave up four unearned runs in 3.2 innings in his lone appearance. Caleb Ferguson (elbow) returned from the injured list to claim his roster spot.

Sanchez (shoulder) was cleared Monday to increase his throwing distance off flat ground to 90 feet, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Sanchez had previously been playing catch from about 60 feet, so the increased distance represents a small step forward in the right-hander's throwing program. The Marlins are likely to proceed cautiously with Sanchez, who hasn't progressed as quickly as initially anticipated from the shoulder surgery he underwent last July. Miami is unlikely to begin mapping out a minor-league rehab assignment for Sanchez until he completes multiple live batting practice sessions, an activity that isn't imminent at this stage.

Heaney (shoulder) will travel with the Dodgers on their upcoming road trip and may begin throwing bullpen sessions this week, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Heaney began his throwing progression last weekend, but he has been limited to playing catch thus far. However, he appears to be progressing toward throwing from a mound, which would be a significant step in his recovery from the shoulder inflammation that has shut him down for nearly a month. Heaney would likely need to go on a rehab assignment before returning to the big club, so he's unlikely to be back before June.

Williams and the Mets won't play against the Cardinals on Monday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Monday's matchup will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday. Williams will take the mound in one of the games during the twin bill, while Taijuan Walker will start in the other matchup, according to Thosar.

Mikolas and the Cardinals won't play Monday against the Mets after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Mikolas was slated to serve as the starting pitcher during Monday's series opener, but he'll have to wait at least one more day to take the mound. The Cardinals haven't yet announced their updated pitching plans, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Mikolas take the mound in one of the two games during Tuesday's doubleheader.

DeGrom (shoulder) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday, his third since the beginning of April, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

The 33-year-old resumed playing catch just over a week ago and will now receive another MRI three weeks after his most recent round of imaging. DeGrom is still working his way back from a stress reaction on his scapula which has sidelined him the entire season to this point, but Monday's MRI will provide a useful update on where he's at in his recovery. The right-hander is currently expected to return around mid-to-late July, though the results from the imaging will bring more clarity to his timetable.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts indicated Sunday that Pepiot is "in the mix" to start one of the games during Tuesday's doubleheader against Arizona, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Pepiot made his major-league debut in Pittsburgh on Wednesday and tossed three scoreless innings despite walking five batters. He was subsequently sent back down to Triple-A Oklahoma City, but the Dodgers may have shown their hand by assigning him to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga -- where the Quakes play their home games about 50 miles east of Los Angeles -- on Saturday. The Dodgers are in the midst of a stretch during which they play 31 games in 30 days and recently moved starter Clayton Kershaw (pelvis) to the injured list, so pitching depth is at a premium for the team at the moment.

Gomber allowed three hits on four hits and three walks while striking out three in six innings in Sunday's loss to the Royals. He didn't factor into the decision.

Gomber gave up five runs in 5.1 innings during his last start, but he was slightly more successful against Kansas City on Sunday. The southpaw posted his fourth quality start in his last five outings but was in line for his fourth loss of the season when he exited the matchup. However, he was able to settle for the no-decision since the Rockies put up seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Gomber has been inconsistent early in 2022, and he has a 4.38 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in 39 innings over his first seven starts. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Mets on Saturday.

Wainwright (4-3) registered the win during Sunday's 15-6 victory over the Giants, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks with five strikeouts in six innings.

St. Louis was up big early, and Wainwright was able to cruise to the easy win in his first start since May 4 after a stint on the COVID-19 injured list, permitting both runs on a Joc Pederson home run in the sixth inning. The 40-year-old has now won consecutive starts while surrendering just two runs in 13 innings, boosting his ERA to 3.15 and WHIP to 1.23. Wainwright's next start lines up to come over the weekend against Pittsburgh.
