Sanchez (5-2) notched the win Saturday against the Pirates, allowing no runs on six hits and no walks in nine innings. He struck out 13.

The All-Star southpaw found himself in peak form, racking up a career-high 13 strikeouts in his fourth career complete game. Saturday also marked Sanchez's second career complete-game shutout, a feat he last accomplished back in 2024, and he's now spun at least seven innings while yielding no runs in three consecutive starts to open the month of May. He'll be looking to keep the good times rolling in his next scheduled outing against Cleveland, boasting a 1.82 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 80:14 K:BB over 64.1 frames.

Paddack did not factor into Saturday's decision against the Guardians, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three across five innings.

Paddack put the Reds in an early hole after yielding a two-run single to Brayan Rocchio in the second inning, but the veteran right-hander settled in and did not give up another run the rest of the way. Paddack induced eight whiffs while tossing 56 strikes on 78 pitches (71.8 percent strike rate), putting on a solid showing in his Reds debut just six days after being released by the Marlins. He's lined up to start against the Cardinals next weekend, and Paddack should remain in the Reds' rotation for as long as Rhett Lowder (shoulder) is on the 15-day injured list.

Perez will not start against the Marlins on Monday, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Perez struck out two batters in one inning of relief during Atlanta's 3-2 loss to the Red Sox on Saturday and will no longer start in Monday's series opener, with Didier Fuentes seemingly the top candidate to take the mound instead, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com. Perez has a 2.25 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 28:11 K:BB across 36 innings this season.

Cavalli (2-2) earned the win Saturday against the Orioles, allowing three runs on eight hits and no walks in 6.1 innings. He struck out eight.

Cavalli, who tends to keep the ball in the yard, served up a pair of home runs for the first time this season Saturday but was otherwise effective. The 27-year-old right-hander attacked the zone for 68 strikes on 96 pitches, logging his third quality start of the year while also fanning at least eight for the third time in his past five outings. Cavalli will be trying to further improve on his 4.05 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 52:18 K:BB over 46.2 innings in his next scheduled outing against the division-rival Mets.

Atlanta signed Gomber to a minor-league contract Saturday and assigned the 32-year-old southpaw to Triple-A Gwinnett, per MLB's transaction log.

Gomber was granted his release from the Rangers on Saturday and will now get a fresh opportunity with Atlanta. He appeared in nine games for Triple-A Round Rock and posted a 7.75 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 29:14 K:BB over 33.2 frames.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Snell will undergo surgery Tuesday to remove loose bodies in his left elbow, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Roberts relayed that he isn't sure if Snell will have the same type of surgery as Tigers ace Tarik Skubal (elbow), which carries a 4-to-6-week recovery timeline. That would shelve Snell until at least early July, but he would be looking at an even longer absence if the procedure is more intensive. Regardless, the Dodgers are optimistic that the southpaw will be cleared to return before the end of the season.

Senzatela gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his third save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks. He struck out one.

While it was his third save of the year in three chances, it was the veteran right-hander's first in which he didn't need to pitch more than one inning. Senzatela's stuff is playing up in impressive fashion in short relief -- his four-seam fastball topped out at 98.8 mph Saturday -- and while he'd made 145 career starts for the Rockies over nine MLB seasons coming into 2026, he may have found a new home as a high-leverage arm. With Victor Vodnik having been scored upon in five of his last eight appearances, Senzatela's making a compelling case to take over as Colorado's closer. Through 28.1 innings this season, all in relief, he's produced a 1.27 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB.

Sugano (4-3) picked up the win in Saturday's 4-2 victory over the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out one.

The 36-year-old right-hander got staked to a 3-1 lead in the first two innings, and Sugano did just enough to make it hold up before being lifted after 88 pitches (54 strikes). It was a needed bounce-back performance after Sugano gave up nine runs in 10.1 innings over his prior two starts, but he isn't fooling anyone right now -- he generated only three swinging strikes Saturday and has struck out two batters or fewer in four straight trips to the mound. He'll take a 4.02 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 25:14 K:BB through 47 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in a rematch with Arizona.

Rodriguez (4-1) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on nine hits over 5.1 innings as the Diamondbacks fell 4-2 to the Rockies. He struck out six without walking a batter.

The veteran southpaw didn't pitch poorly, especially considering the game was at Coors Field, but Colorado ambushed Rodriguez for three runs in the first two frames and Arizona was never able to climb out of that hole. Rodriguez was lifted after 91 pitches (68 strikes), ending his run of quality starts at two. He'll take a 2.53 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 39:22 K:BB through 53.1 innings into his next outing, which is set to come next week in a home rematch with the Rockies.

The Cubs reinstated Wicks (elbow) from the injured list Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A Iowa, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Wicks has been dealing with inflammation in his forearm and elbow since the early stages of spring training. He began making rehab starts with Iowa on April 18 and has since turned in a 5.48 ERA and 1.78 WHIP to go with an 18:10 K:BB through 21.1 innings. He'll stay put in the minors despite being given a clean bill of health, but with Matthew Boyd (knee), Justin Steele (elbow) and Cade Horton (elbow) all sidelined, Wicks could be called back up to the big leagues if Chicago's rotation depth is tested further.
