Henderson went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Mets.

Henderson had gone 38 games without a steal, and he had just one attempt in that span. The shortstop is up to 15 thefts on 17 attempts this season. He's batting .293 (22-for-75) in August and now has a .287/.374/.555 slash line with 33 home runs, 78 RBI, 100 runs scored, 23 doubles and six triples over 126 contests this season.

McKinstry went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Cubs.

McKinstry notched a steal in his second straight game, but this was his first start in three contests. He's put together a decent August, going 13-for-45 (.289) across 15 games while adding three steals and four RBI. The 29-year-old is at a .199/.259/.320 slash line with 11 steals, three home runs, 19 RBI and 25 runs scored across 251 plate appearances for the year.

Sweeney went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Cubs.

Sweeney went deep in the second inning with a runner on, giving him his first MLB long ball. The 24-year-old has now appeared in three games for the Tigers, going 2-for-11 with four strikeouts. Sweeney came over from the Dodgers in last month's Jack Flaherty trade, and he had some success in the minors before his first promotion to the majors, so he may get an extended opportunity to settle in at his new level, possibly at the expense of veteran Javier Baez.

Crawford (finger) hit against a pitching machine Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Wednesday marked the first time Crawford has swung a bat since he landed on the injured list with a fractured right finger. The Mariners are hopeful that he'll be able to begin a rehab assignment over the weekend, though he'll likely need to take a couple rounds of batting practice before being cleared to play in minor-league games.

Baez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.

Baez donned the Golden Sombrero in Tuesday's 3-1 loss, striking out in all four of his plate appearances, including with a runner on second base and two outs in the ninth inning. He now finds himself on the bench for the third time in five games, as he looks to have moved into a part-time role in the wake of shortstop prospect Trey Sweeney receiving a promotion to the big leagues. Baez owns a career-worst .514 OPS for the season and has turned in a .220/.262/.347 slash line (69 wRC+) since signing a six-year, $140 million contract with Detroit in November 2021.

Rocchio is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

The Guardians have been rotating multiple players in at shortstop lately, with both Tyler Freeman and Daniel Schneemann having poached starts from Rocchio of late. Even though he's on the bench Tuesday, Rocchio may have helped himself earn a greater share of the playing time at shortstop after going 3-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday's win over New York.

Volpe went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two stolen bases in Tuesday's extra-innings loss to Cleveland.

Volpe notched one of two multi-hit efforts for the Yankees in the contest and reached base a third time on a walk. The shortstop took advantage of his trips to the basepaths with his fourth multi-steal performance of the campaign. Volpe has 22 steals on the season, two short of the total he tallied over 159 games as a rookie last year.

Jimenez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Reds.

After missing Toronto's previous two games with a knee injury, Jimenez returned Tuesday with a two-hit performance, including a two-run homer off Carson Spiers in the fifth inning. All three of Jimenez's homers this season have come in his last six games -- he's gone 5-for-18 with six RBI in that span. Overall, the 23-year-old shortstop is slashing .232/.310/.404 with 12 runs scored and nine RBI across 113 plate appearances this year while filling in for Bo Bichette (calf).

Hamilton went 0-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Astros.

Hamilton led off the fourth inning with a walk, stole second base and scored on a single. The theft was his team-leading 32nd, placing him one ahead of Jarren Duran, who has jockeyed with Hamilton in that category the last two months. Following a cold spell coming out of the All-Star break, Hamilton has put up strong August numbers, posting a line of .302/.375/.535 over 14 contests.

Correa (heel) ran Tuesday and has been hitting and fielding, but there's still no timetable for his return, Phil Miller of the Minnesota Star Tribune reports. "He's still having some discomfort. As cliche as it sounds, it's truly day-to-day on how he's going to feel and what we can do with him," said Twins head athletic trainer Nick Paparesta.

Correa was placed on the 10-day injured list July 20 due to right plantar fasciitis. It initially didn't appear he would be out long, but he still has soreness after running. He may not return until sometime in September as a result.
