Jose Barrero SS | BAL
Reds' Jose Garcia: Sitting out again
Garcia is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
Garcia will hit the bench for the second time in three games, this time giving way to Freddy Galvis at shortstop after Kyle Farmer received the nod in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Pirates. Though the Reds don't appear ready to pull the plug on Garcia as their everyday shortstop just yet, the 22-year-old has gotten off to an underwhelming 5-for-34 (.147 average) start to his big-league career.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Steals in three straight games
Story went 1-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 14-5 loss to the Padres.
Story hit a double in the first inning and stole third base before coming home on a Nolan Arenado homer. In the fifth, Story's fielder's choice plated Tony Wolters. The stolen base was Story's fourth in his last three games and 13th of the season. He's slashing .293/.370/.543 with nine homers, 21 RBI and 33 runs scored through 41 contests.

Johan Camargo SS | SF
Braves' Johan Camargo: Optioned to alternate site
Camargo was optioned to Atlanta's alternate training site Wednesday.
Adeiny Hechavarria had already started to cut into Camargo's playing time, so with Ozzie Albies (wrist) getting activated, this was a natural corresponding move. He has a .200/.244/.367 slash line on the season.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Nationals' Trea Turner: Swipes sixth bag
Turner went 1-for-4 with a double, a run, an RBI, a stolen base and a walk in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Rays.
Even with only one hit Tuesday, the 27-year-old was able to contribute in a number of categories. Turner seems to be putting it all together with a .359/.413/.623 slash line, nine homers, 11 doubles, 35 runs, 25 RBI and six stolen bases in 41 games.

Tommy Edman 2B | LAD
Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Swats third homer
Edman went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during a 7-3 loss to the Twins in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader.
He also found ways to be productive in the nightcap, going 0-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. Edman's sixth-inning shot off Jose Berrios was his third homer of the year, but two of them have come in the last three days as he tries to re-discover last season's form in time for the Cards' stretch run.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Marlins' Jon Berti: Not starting Tuesday
Berti (finger) is not starting Tuesday against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Berti bruised his finger during Monday's contest, and the issue is still bothering him Tuesday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. He could still miss a few more days with the injury but is not expected to head to the injured list. Jazz Chisholm will start at second base.
-
Nick Ahmed SS | TEX
Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Receives rare rest
Ahmed will sit Tuesday against the Dodgers.
Ahmed's strong defense has kept him in the lineup for all but two games this season despite the fact that he's hitting just .238/.310/.371. Josh Rojas starts at shortstop in his absence.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Rockies' Trevor Story: Leading majors in steals
Story went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a double in Monday's 1-0 loss to the Padres.
Story has been a big source of speed lately, with four stolen bases in his last five games. He now leads the majors with 12 steals. The shortstop also has nine homers, 32 runs scored and 20 RBI while slashing .294/.372/.544 through 40 contests.
-
Miguel Rojas SS | LAD
Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Collects four hits
Rojas went 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored Monday against Atlanta.
Rojas recorded his first double in the second inning, driving in Jazz Chisholm. His other RBI proved to be the game-winner, as he hit that one in the top of 10th frame to put the Marlins up 5-4. The performance was Rojas' third multi-hit game since Aug. 21, though he's still hitting .375/.470/.607 across 66 plate appearances for the season.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Cubs' Javier Baez: Three-hit performance in win
Baez went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Monday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.
The three-hit day marked Baez's first multi-hit game since Aug. 24. The shortstop has posted a batting average north of .270 in each of his last five seasons but is currently hitting just .205 through 156 at-bats in 2020. Perhaps his strong performance at the dish Monday can get him on the right track for Chicago's stretch run.
