Clark is batting .138 (8-for-58) with a double and no home runs in his past 15 games with Triple-A Toledo.

The 21-year-old had a hot start to the campaign with a 1.010 OPS and 10:6 BB:K in his first 17 Triple-A contests, but his production has cratered since mid-April. Clark remains one of Detroit's top prospects, but he'll likely need to show he can consistently handle Triple-A pitching before he's in serious consideration for a promotion.

Madden will be the Tigers' starting pitcher for Saturday's game in Kansas City, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Madden earned a traditional start after excelling in bulk relief in his season debut Monday versus the Red Sox, striking out seven over five scoreless frames. The right-hander threw 81 pitches in that outing and has been a starting pitcher this year during his time at Triple-A Toledo, so he shouldn't have any workload limitations Saturday.

Schweitzer was recalled to the White Sox from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

In response to Osvaldo Bido being DFA'ed, the White Sox called up Schweitzer for his second big-league stint of 2026. The 25-year-old was sent back to Charlotte after making his MLB debut versus Baltimore on April 8, when he gave up a run on two hits with one strikeout and one walk over 1.1 innings.

Crochet (shoulder) has resumed playing catch from 60 feet and is making progress in his strengthening program, but the southpaw is unlikely to return from the 15-day injured list when first eligible next Tuesday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports. "We're still strengthening, we're still throwing and we're increasing intensity as he goes," Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy said Thursday. "So we're just going to continue that track until we feel the strength numbers are where they're supposed to be, he feels good and he can ramp up more."

Shortly after being placed on the IL on April 29 due to left shoulder inflammation, Crochet indicated that he wouldn't be shut down from throwing and expressed confidence that he would be ready to return in the minimum 15 days. While he hasn't run into any setbacks, the Red Sox are taking a cautious approach in building their ace back up. Tracy didn't rule out the possibility of Crochet requiring a rehab assignment prior to being activated from the IL, though that may not prove to be necessary if he's able to throw off a mound and face hitters within the next week or two.

The Guardians recalled Aleman from Triple-A Columbus on Friday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Aleman has gotten off to a dominant start at Columbus this season, allowing just one unearned run with an 18:4 K:BB over 12 innings of relief. The 25-year-old will operate in middle relief and will be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game.

Scholtens is listed as the Rays' probable starting pitcher for Friday's game in Boston, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Scholtens piggybacked Griffin Jax his last time out, but the Rays have elected to separate the two pitchers during this turn through the rotation. Even with Steven Matz (elbow) going on the injured list, it's unclear if Jax or Scholtens will be in line for long looks as starters. Mason Englert (forearm) will be stretched out now that he's off the IL, and Joe Boyle (elbow) could reclaim a starting gig once he's activated, which is expected to happen later this month.

Caballero (elbow) entered Thursday's game against the Rangers as a defensive replacement and fouled out in his lone plate appearance.

Caballero didn't start the game due to some swelling in his left elbow as a result of a hit-by-pitch Wednesday. He's fine, though, and is expected to be available to play Friday as the Yankees open up a road trip in Milwaukee.

The Yankees placed Dominguez on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left shoulder AC joint sprain.

Dominguez suffered the injury during Thursday's game against the Rangers when he collided with the outfield wall while making a catch. He managed to avoid a concussion or other major injury, but Dominguez is expected to require longer than a minimum stay on the IL. If Giancarlo Stanton (calf) beats him back from the IL, Dominguez could be sent back to the minors once he's healthy.

The Yankees recalled Jones from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Jones has put together a .258/.366/.592 batting line with 11 home runs, seven stolen bases and a 32.4 percent strikeout rate this season with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The left-handed batter should get a chance against right-handed pitching while Giancarlo Stanton (calf) and Jasson Dominguez (shoulder) are sidelined.

Cortes went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's win over the Phillies.

Cortes accounted for two of the Athletics' 13 hits in Thursday's blowout road victory, including an RBI single in the third inning. It marked the outfielder's ninth multi-hit effort of the season as he continues to emerge as a major offensive threat with increased playing time. The 28-year-old owns an OPS north of 1.000, slashing .373/.435/.602 with four homers, five doubles, a triple, 14 RBI and 11 runs across 29 games in 2026.
