Troy (shoulder) is likely to participate in extended spring training games this week, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

If that goes well, Troy should be cleared for a formal rehab assignment soon. The 24-year-old has been sidelined since mid-July as he battles his way back from a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder. Troy should be back with the Diamondbacks before the end of August if all goes well.

Lawlar (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Amarillo on Tuesday, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

Lawlar will play back-to-back rehab games Tuesday and Wednesday before the Diamondbacks determine the next steps for the outfielder. Considering Lawlar has been sidelined since late June with a strained right hamstring, he is likely to require a handful of rehab contests before being reinstated.

Burnes (elbow/teres major) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

Burnes suffered a teres major strain while throwing to hitters in June, delaying his Tommy John surgery rehab. He resumed throwing on flat ground July 10 and is now ready to get back on a mound again. A plan for Burnes to face hitters again will be mapped out following Tuesday's mound work. Burnes is aiming to rejoin the Diamondbacks by early September, though that might be optimistic given where he's at in his throwing program.

Bernal is slashing .288/.360/.569 with nine home runs, 12 doubles and 42 RBI in 38 games since the start of June.

Bernal has already set a new career high this season with 14 home runs, and he's sporting a 118 wRC+, 11.6 percent walk rate and 19.6 percent strikeout rate. The Cardinals didn't wind up trading any catchers at the deadline, which could make it difficult for Bernal to crack the big-league roster before the end of this season; however, the switch-hitting 22-year-old looks ready for an opportunity when called upon.

The Guardians traded Brito to the Reds on Monday in exchange for cash.

The Guardians designated Brito for assignment earlier in the day, but the Reds were willing to use a 40-man roster spot on Brito for the time being. More of a bat-first prospect than the typical Guardians middle infielder, Brito had been passed over in Cleveland, so a change of scenery is welcome. The 24-year-old switch hitter slashed .237/.351/.394 with nine home runs and seven steals in 83 games at Triple-A with the Guardians organization.

The Nationals acquired Glassey from the Orioles on Monday in exchange for outfielder Christian Franklin, Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com reports.

Glassey, 25, has been old for his levels this season, but the righty reliever has a 2.64 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 53:8 K:BB in 30.2 innings between High-A and Double-A. He has only logged 2.1 innings at Double-A, but given his age, he could reach Triple-A before the end of 2026.

Tawa went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 5-1 win over San Diego.

Tawa turned on an inside sinker from Michael King and launched it into the left-field seats to give Arizona a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning. The utility man had gone 1-for-23 (.043) over his previous seven games before Monday's standout performance. On the year, Tawa is hitting .224/.280/.385 with five homers, 24 RBI, 17 runs and two stolen bases across 56 contests.

King (6-8) took the loss Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks over five-plus innings against Arizona. He struck out five.

The right-hander was done in by a three-run homer surrendered to Tim Tawa in the fourth inning. King threw 66 of 104 pitches for strikes, issuing four walks for the sixth time this season. Through 130.1 innings (23 starts), the 31-year-old owns a 3.45 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 114:54 K:BB. His next start is tentatively scheduled for Saturday against Houston.

Pfaadt (6-1) earned the win Monday, allowing one unearned run on five hits and a walk over 6.2 innings against the Padres. He struck out three.

Pfaadt kept the Padres offense quiet, with the lone run he surrendered in the seventh inning being unearned. The right-hander has been incredible since being recalled June 30, compiling a 6-0 record with a 1.55 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across seven starts spanning 40.2 innings. Overall, Pfaadt owns a 3.66 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 52:22 K:BB across 78.2 innings (20 appearances, 10 starts) and is tentatively slated to pitch Saturday against the Dodgers.

Tovar went 4-for-4 with a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Monday's 13-9 loss to the Rays.

Tovar couldn't be stopped at the plate, logging a season-high four hits. The shortstop's solo homer in the third inning marked his first long ball since July 6, with the 25-year-old hitting a measly .098 in 17 games during the drought. It's been a challenging 2026 for Tovar, who's slashing .202/.247/.330 with nine homers, 36 RBI, 38 runs and five stolen bases across 104 contests.
