Freeman is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup against the Brewers on Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports. • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Playing Thursday

Freeman is starting at first and batting cleanup Thursday versus Milwaukee after feeling sore following Wednesday's 4-2 win over Kansas City, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports. Freeman fell into the dugout on the first-base side in an attempt to track a popup in foul territory Wednesday, which resulted in his departure from the game due to soreness in his right hand, knee and shoulder. As Freeman hoped following Wednesday's game, he's in the lineup for the series opener versus the Brewers.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Hoping to play Thursday

Freeman said that he is "just sore" after suffering a number of minor injuries when he fell into the opposing dugout during the eighth inning of Wednesday's 4-2 win over Kansas City , David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports. Freeman added that he's hoping to play in Thursday's series opener against the Brewers. In a scary incident, Freeman plunged into the dugout while tracking a pop-up into foul territory. Team trainer Thomas Albert said afterward that Freeman has a sore right hand, knee, foot and shoulder, but Freeman downplayed the injuries in his postgame interview. The first baseman seems like he'll lobby to play right away in Thursday's series opener in Los Angeles, though the Dodgers could err on the side of caution and give Freeman a day off if he's experiencing any lingering soreness leading up to game time.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Removed after fall

Freeman was removed from Wednesday's game against the Royals due to an apparent injury, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. He went 1-for-2 with a walk prior to his departure in the bottom of the eighth inning. Freeman fell into the Royals' dugout while tracking a pop-up in foul territory during the eighth inning. He initially remained in the game but was lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the frame. His ability to remain in the game for a while after the incident suggests he avoided a serious injury, though the Dodgers should provide more information on his condition in the near future.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: In lineup Friday

Freeman (hand) will start at first base and bat third Friday against the Diamondbacks. Freeman was pulled from Wednesday's game against the Cubs after getting hit on the hand by a pitch, but X-rays came back negative after the game, and he won't have to miss any starts as a result of the incident. The veteran first baseman has been seeing the ball very well to begin the second half, putting together a 15-game hitting streak in which he's slashed .466/.483/.534 while collecting three RBI and five runs scored.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: X-rays negative on hand

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters following Wednesday's 7-6 loss to the Cubs that X-rays on Freddie Freeman's hand came back negative, Jack Harris of the California Post reports. Freeman was removed from the fifth inning of Wednesday's contest after being hit on the hand, but the good news is that he appears to have avoided a serious injury. With Thursday being a scheduled off day for the Dodgers, Freeman is expected to be in the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Diamondbacks.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Exits with apparent wrist issue

Freeman was removed from Wednesday's game against the Cubs following the top of the fifth inning due to an apparent wrist injury, Adrian Medina of Roundtable.io reports. He went 1-for-3 at the plate before departing. The Dodgers will likely provide an explanation for Freeman's early exit after the game, but the veteran first baseman appeared to grimace and look at his wrist following a check swing in the top of the fifth. Freeman flied out to center field to finish out the at-bat and was then replaced in the field by Enrique Hernandez in the bottom half of the frame.

Freeman went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Red Sox. Freeman has logged three hits in five of the 11 games during his active hitting streak, a stretch in which he's batting .511 (23-for-45). The first baseman had produced only four three-hit performances prior to the end of June. • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Three more hits in win

Freeman went 3-for-4 in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Mets. This was Freeman's third three-hit effort in a row, though all three knocks were singles Saturday. While the first baseman has been steady with the stick in July, batting .324 over 19 contests this month, he's supplied just five RBI. For the year, he's batting .299 with an .868 OPS, 15 home runs, 51 RBI, 56 runs scored, 26 doubles, one triple and five stolen bases over 102 contests. Given Freeman's prominent spot in a strong lineup, his run production should eventually get back on track.

The future Hall of Famer is moving up the all-time chart in the category, as his 573 career regular-season doubles put him 27th in MLB history. Freeman has collected three hits in both of his past two games to push his season slash line to .294/.377/.486 with 15 homers, 51 RBI, 56 runs and five stolen bases through 101 contests.

The first baseman has hit well lately, but it was his first homer in eight games despite six multi-hit efforts in that span. For the season, Freeman is batting .294 with an .887 OPS, 14 homers, three steals, 47 RBI, 50 runs scored, 22 doubles and a triple over 84 contests.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Belts decisive homer

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Twins in a 2-1 victory Monday. Runs were hard to come by in the contest, and Freeman's sixth-inning solo shot proved to provide the winning margin for Los Angeles. The veteran first baseman is batting just .250 over his past eight games, but three of his seven hits over that span have left the park. Freeman posted an .869 OPS with 24 homers, 90 RBI, 81 runs and six stolen bases over 147 regular-season games last year, and he's on pace to just about match those marks in 2026. Though 76 contests this season, the ageless slugger is at an .838 OPS with 13 long balls, 41 RBI, 43 runs and two thefts.

On the season, he's slashing .279/.368/.482 with 12 home runs, 40 RBI, 41 runs scored and two steals across 315 plate appearances.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Slaps 11th long ball Sunday

Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the White Sox Freeman wasted little time getting the Dodgers on the board, taking Bryan Hudson deep in the first inning for a solo shot. The homer was his 11th of the season and continued an impressive stretch for the first baseman, who is batting .299 with an .899 OPS, five homers and 15 RBI over his last 20 games. Despite the surge, Freeman's .275 season batting average would represent his lowest mark since 2012 should it not improve.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Reaches 2,500 career hits

Freeman went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 12-3 rout of the Pirates. The veteran first baseman's RBI single in the seventh inning gave Freeman a big personal milestone, as it was his 2,500th career hit, most among all active players. Freeman turns 37 in September, but he seems to have plenty left in the tank, slashing .284/.366/.481 through 64 games on the season with 10 home runs, two steals, 35 runs and 36 RBI. Freeman's current contract runs through 2027, but a realistic shot at becoming the first player since Miguel Cabrera to reach 3,000 hits might encourage the future Hall of Famer to stick around.

  • Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Early impact in win

He's now hitting .274 with an .835 OPS, nine homers, 32 RBI, 30 runs scored, two stolen bases, 15 doubles and a triple over 58 contests. Freeman's not quite at the level he's displayed over the last two years, but he is trending up in recent weeks.
