Still, Amador is off to a strong start in his second stint with the Rockies this season and should see steady playing time on a struggling squad.

Perdomo went 3-for-4 in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Astros.

Perdomo is 9-for-20 (.450) over five games since the All-Star break, though just one of those knocks, a triple, has gone for extra bases. The shortstop has hit in the bottom third of the order in the first two games of this series versus Houston, though that is due to a pair of left-handed pitchers starting. That trend is likely to continue Wednesday when Brandon Walter is on the mound for the visiting Astros. Perdomo has been a steady bat in the lineup all year with a .275/.375/.420 slash line, 10 home runs, 72 RBI, 55 runs scored and 15 stolen bases across 101 games.

Blalock (1-2) earned the win Tuesday, allowing two runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.1 innings against the Cardinals. He recorded no strikeouts.

Blalock was far from perfect Tuesday, allowing plenty of baserunners, but he managed to deliver a serviceable outing that helped the Rockies secure a win. Grichuk went 3-for-3 with two doubles and one run scored in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Astros.

Grichuk has logged a pair of three-hit efforts over his last five games. The veteran outfielder has received a steadier run of playing time in this series versus Houston, a team with a left-handed-heavy rotation. Grichuk should be in the lineup again Wednesday versus southpaw Brandon Walter. For the season, Grichuk is now at a .249/.286/.473 slash line with seven home runs, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored and no stolen bases across 182 plate appearances, primarily in a short-side platoon role.

Fedde (3-10) took the loss Tuesday, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk over three innings against the Rockies. He struck out five.

The right-hander had a chance to bounce back against a struggling Rockies lineup but was instead tagged for damage, including home runs by Mickey Moniak and Ryan McMahon. Fedde is in the middle of a rough stretch, going 0-5 with a 9.64 ERA and 2.04 WHIP over 28 innings across seven starts since June 13. While he could still be a buy-low option for a contender at the trade deadline, his recent struggles have significantly diminished his potential trade value.

Rodriguez allowed six hits and three walks while striking out three over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Tuesday.

Rodriguez still gave up a bit too much in terms of baserunners, but he was effective at keeping them from scoring. This was his first start since July 10, as the Diamondbacks built in a little extra time off around the All-Star break for the struggling southpaw, which appears to have paid immediate dividends. He trimmed his ERA from 5.94 to 5.50 and also has a 1.65 WHIP and 93:32 K:BB across 86.2 innings through 17 starts this season. Rodriguez is projected for another tough interleague matchup early next week, when he's slated to toe the rubber in Detroit.

Boyd (11-3) earned the win Tuesday, allowing four hits and one walk over seven scoreless innings against the Royals. He struck out six.

Boyd continued his stellar 2025 campaign Tuesday, tossing seven scoreless innings to notch his 11th win of the year and fourth in a row. The southpaw entered the outing with a 0.90 ERA and 0.70 WHIP over 20 innings in July, a stretch that included two shutouts. With a third blanking added to his July resume, Boyd lowered his season marks to a 2.20 ERA and 1.01 WHIP across 118.2 innings and 20 starts. While Paul Skenes and Zack Wheeler headline the National League's top arms, Boyd's dominance this season has put him firmly in that conversation.

Misiorowski allowed three hits and a walk while striking out seven over 3.2 scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Tuesday.

Misiorowski was limited to 64 pitches (45 strikes), which suggests that the Brewers are initiating a workload management plan for their prized rookie in the second half. Across all levels this season, he's thrown 92.2 innings, which is approaching his high mark of 99.1 frames from last year. The specific details of any innings limit aren't known yet, but Tuesday's start in an interleague matchup makes sense as one to rein him in while letting him work more against key divisional opponents. Misiorowski is at a 2.45 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 40:12 K:BB through 29.1 innings across six starts in the majors. He is tentatively projected for a home start versus the Cubs next week. It's possible the Brewers will turn to a six-man rotation once Nestor Cortes (elbow) is activated from the injured list, but the team has yet announce if that's the direction it will take.

Muncy (knee) took batting batting practice on the field Tuesday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Muncy resumed swinging a bat Friday, and he took another step toward his return from a left knee injury Tuesday. The veteran third baseman was given a six-week timeline when he was placed on the injured list July 3, and he appears to be in line to meet or beat that estimate. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Muncy's return is "coming a lot quicker than we had hoped or had expected" and said the slugger could be back in "a couple weeks," per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.

Casparius was removed from Tuesday's game against the Twins due to an apparent hamstring injury, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Casparius allowed four consecutive batters to reach base after entering the game in the sixth inning. He grabbed at his right hamstring before calling for a trainer and was removed from the game without recording an out. More information on his status should come once the Dodgers are able to take a closer look at him.
