Gose agreed to a contract with the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

The specifics of the deal aren't clear, but Gose quickly linked up with the Diamondbacks after being released from his minor-league contract with the Mets on Monday. The left-hander posted a 4.30 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 25:14 K:BB across 23 innings at the Triple-A level with New York.

Schmitt (foot) will start at third base and bat sixth Tuesday against the Guardians, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

After fouling a ball off his foot Sunday, Schmitt missed out on the starting nine Monday, though he managed to appear as a pinch hitter. He'll now rejoin the lineup as San Francisco's third baseman while Rafael Devers makes his Giants debut as the DH.

The Giants optioned Johnson to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

With Rafael Devers officially joining the active roster Tuesday, Johnson will end up as the roster casualty necessary to create room on the 26-man. The 29-year-old is 4-for-17 with a homer and four runs scored in the big leagues this season, and he owns an .846 OPS across 109 plate appearances in the minors.

The Pirates reinstated Bart (concussion) from the injured list Tuesday.

Bart landed on the 7-day concussion IL in late May, but lingering symptoms caused his recovery to extend well into June. He was cleared to begin a rehab assignment Wednesday and went 3-for-13 with four walks, two RBI and a run scored across five minor-league games. Now out of concussion protocol and fully healthy, Bart should slide back in as Pittsburgh's primary catcher.

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker indicated Tuesday that Profar will be slotted into the No. 2 spot in the lineup upon his return from an 80-game PED suspension July 2, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Profar will begin playing minor-league contests with Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday and is expected to play all nine innings in every game he plays over the next two weeks, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. It's fair to question how productive Profar will be as he comes back from a PED suspension, but his situation and upside warrant him being stashed in most fantasy leagues where he's available.

The Reds recalled Mey from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

Mey showed the good and the bad during his first big-league stint in May, yielding one run with a 12:3 K:BB over his first 8.1 innings before stumbling in his next 4.2 frames as he allowed five runs with a 2:4 K:BB. The hard-throwing reliever will aim for more consistency this time around.

The Mets recalled Garza from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old was demoted to Syracuse on Sunday but will quickly rejoin the Mets with Tylor Megill (elbow) landing on the injured list. Garza delivered 3.2 scoreless frames during his prior week-long stint with the big-league club.

The Reds placed Ashcraft on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right groin strain.

Ashcraft has struggled lately, permitting 10 runs over his last 11.1 relief innings. He'll be eligible for activation July 1, but it's unclear whether he'll be ready to go on that date. Luis Mey is taking Ashcraft's spot on the roster and in the bullpen.

The Mets placed Megill on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right elbow sprain.

A sprained elbow indicates Megill is dealing with damage to his UCL, but the pitcher said Tuesday that he just has inflammation and no structural damage, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Megill will be shut down for at least 7-to-10 days before ramping back up. The Mets are due to get Frankie Montas (lat) and Sean Manaea (oblique) back soon, but they will need someone else to fill in for Megill later this week in Philadelphia.

Stott (elbow) is starting at second base and batting sixth Tuesday against the Marlins, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Stott suffered a hyperextended elbow during Monday's win against the Marlins but is back in the starting nine for Tuesday's contest. The 27-year-old has struggled at the plate so far in June, as he's batting .146 (7-for-46) with one extra-base hit in 14 games.
