Conforto is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Milwaukee.

Conforto occupied the designated hitter slot each of the last four times the Cubs faced a righty, but he's not starting Tuesday against Cy Young favorite Jacob Misiorowski. Tyrone Taylor will hold down the DH spot for Chicago.

Ramirez is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Milwaukee.

It appears to be a routine day off after Ramirez had started each of the previous five contests. Matt Shaw will cover second base and will bat seventh for the Cubs.

Happ (knee) will start in left field and bat sixth in Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

Happ missed the previous two starts with left knee discomfort, but he appeared as a pinch hitter Monday and is back in the lineup Tuesday. The veteran switch hitter is batting .233 with zero extra-base hits across his last 10 contests.

Willits was promoted from High-A Wilmington to Double-A Harrisburg on Tuesday, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 First-Year Player Draft, Willits has slashed .262/.404/.457 with 13 home runs, 60 stolen bases and a 92:109 BB:K in 111 games between Single-A Fredericksburg and Wilmington this season. Willits will not turn 19 until December and has established himself as one of the best prospects in the game.

Bauers (shins) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Cubs.

Bauers has been dealing with shin splints since late August and will be absent from the lineup for the second day in a row. The Brewers have faced lefties both games, but Bauers' absence seems to be more about injury maintenance. Andrew Vaughn will cover first base and Luis Lara will patrol right field for Milwaukee on Tuesday

Elder is expected to be sidelined 3-to-4 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Elder had his knee examined by a doctor in Philadelphia on Monday, and the decision was made to have the minor procedure. The right-hander will not return before the end of the regular season, but Elder is aiming to be available at some point during the playoffs. Elder will conclude his regular season having gone 8-8 with a 4.11 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 121:49 K:BB over 149 innings covering 26 starts.

Williams (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session Tuesday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

It will be Williams' first time throwing off the mound since he was diagnosed with a right shoulder strain nearly a month ago. The reliever remains optimistic about returning to pitch before the end of the regular season. Kodai Senga has pitched well since taking over the Mets' closer role, so even if Williams is activated later this month he might not pitch in the ninth inning.

The Diamondbacks reinstated Burnes (elbow) from the 60-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the Royals.

The 31-year-old is ready to step on a big-league mound for the first time since June 1, 2025, when he suffered the elbow injury that forced him to undergo Tommy John surgery. Burnes made just one rehab appearance in the minors but also pitched in a bridge game last week, during which he built up to 50 pitches. The right-hander seems likely to be limited to about 60 pitches in his first start back from the IL, with the Diamondbacks likely to be monitoring his workload closely down the stretch.

Amador will start at second base and bat seventh in Tuesday's game versus the Yankees.

It's the sixth start in a row for Amador, and each of the last four of those have come at second base. He could continue to vie for playing time at the keystone with Connor Norby, at least while Willi Castro (foot) is sidelined.

Norby is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

After making 13 consecutive starts, the righty-swinging Norby has now been held out of the lineup for two straight games versus right-handed pitching. Switch hitter Adael Amador will man second base and could hold the platoon edge at the keystone over Norby.
