  The Kings waived Bazemore on Thursday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. Bazemore is an NBA journeyman who has played on five teams in 10 seasons. Last season, the veteran averaged 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 0.6 steals in 14.0 minutes across 49 games for the Lakers. Bazemore will likely look to join a team looking for dependable outside shooting.

  Bazemore signed a one-year contract with the Kings on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Bazemore spent the 2021-22 season with the Lakers and averaged just 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 14.0 minutes per game. He'll attempt to bounce back on his one-year deal with Sacramento.

  Bazemore posted 13 points (4-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 14 minutes during Friday's 117-114 loss to the Hornets. With LeBron James (knee), Anthony Davis (wrist) and Malik Monk (groin) sidelined, Bazemore saw an increased role and scored a season-high 13 points in just 14 minutes of action. While the scoring outburst is a positive sign, that type of production is likely unsustainable. Even with all the injuries, Bazemore still was the ninth man in coach Frank Vogel's rotation.

Bazemore saw the court for just the third time this calendar year, highlighting his role, or lack thereof, on the Lakers right now. After starting the season as a regular part of the rotation, things have trended in the wrong direction over the past month. Obviously, the veteran is not a name worth discussing in any fantasy league at this point.
