Ennis agreed to a contract Tuesday with Russian club BC Samara, Alessandro Maggi of Sportando.com reports. The 32-year-old journeyman forward was unlikely to land anything more than a training-camp deal had he elected to continue his career in North America, so he'll head overseas on what's presumably a more lucrative deal. Ennis appeared in seven games with the Nets, Nuggets and Clippers in 2021-22 over the course of three 10-day deals, averaging 4.1 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 8.0 minutes per contest.

Denver didn't re-sign Ennis after his 10-day contract expired Thursday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. The Nuggets still have an opening on the 15-man roster, but Denver may prefer to keep that spot open for flexibility purposes ahead of the Feb. 10 trade deadline. For the past month, Ennis has bounced between the Nets, Clippers and Nuggets on a series of 10-day deals, averaging 4.1 points and 1.7 rebounds in 8.0 minutes per game over his seven appearances across those three teams.

The Nuggets are playing to sign Ennis to a 10-day hardship deal Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Ennis recently concluded a 10-day contract with the Clippers and was in line to sign a hardship deal with Utah before the deal was nixed over COVID-19 protocols. Assuming Ennis is able to clear his COVID-19 intake testing, Charania reports that Ennis will be available for Denver when it faces the Clippers on Tuesday.
