With Dallas currently sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference, the Mavericks will need to make a deep run in the playoffs without Kyrie Irving (knee) and potentially Anthony Davis (adductor) in order to give Exum a chance of returning to action. Exum -- who is set to become a free agent this summer -- finished his second season in Dallas with averages of 9.1 points, 2.8 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 three-pointers in 19.1 minutes per game over 18 appearances.
