LaVine finished with 21 points (7-17 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Friday's 120-112 loss to the Nets. LaVine and Coby White finished second on the Bulls in scoring Friday behind Nikola Vucevic (28). LaVine is playing through a left shoulder sprain, but that didn't slow him down Friday as he scored 21-plus points for the fifth time in six regular-season outings. For the season, LaVine is averaging 22.7 points on 49.5 percent shooting, 5.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists over 34.7 minutes per game.

Coach Billy Donovan said LaVine (shoulder) is good to go for Friday's game versus the Nets, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. LaVine sustained the injury in Wednesday's win over Orlando, though the consensus is he avoided a major injury and won't miss any time. The 29-year-old has appeared in all of the Bulls' five regular-season outings, during which he has averaged 23.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 combined steals-plus-blocks across 35.0 minutes per game.

LaVine is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Nets due to an acromioclavicular sprain in his left shoulder, K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago reports. While LaVine avoided a significant injury against Orlando, he is in danger of missing his first contest of the season Friday. If LaVine is unable to suit up, Dalen Terry, Matas Buzelis and Ayo Dosunmu are candidates to receive increased playing time.

X-rays on LaVine's left shoulder came back negative after Wednesday's 102-99 win over the Magic, Jamal Collier of ESPN.com reports. Per K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, LaVine suffered a shoulder subluxation but played through the injury and had X-rays done postgame. Encouragingly, the X-rays came back negative, but LaVine should be considered day-to-day moving forward. He tallied 11 points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and a steal across 36 minutes Wednesday. The Bulls' next game comes Friday at Brooklyn.

LaVine recorded 30 points (12-22 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Monday's 126-123 victory over the Grizzlies. LaVine was extremely efficient Monday and carried the Bulls to a tight win over Memphis by leading the team in scoring. LaVine is not expected to play the whole year with Chicago, and if he continues to play at this level, the trade rumors centered around the veteran guard should start to get louder as the season advances. LaVine is doing his part to show he can still contribute at a high level, as he's averaging 26.0 points per game in his first four outings while shooting 55.2 percent from the field and 45.7 percent from deep.
