The Kings announced Tuesday that LaVine (ankle) will be re-evaluated in one week, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. After exiting Sunday's loss to the Timberwolves, LaVine has been diagnosed with a moderate left ankle sprain and will need to miss at least Sacramento's next three contests. With the star guard out of action, Nique Clifford appears to be the most likely choice to replace LaVine in the starting lineup. It's also possible Keon Ellis will see increased minutes for the time being.

LaVine will not return to Sunday's game against the Timberwolves due to a left ankle injury. LaVine twisted his left ankle early in Sunday's game, and while he attempted to play through it, he bowed out during the third quarter. LaVine will end his evening with 10 points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, one assist and two turnovers in 16 minutes, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Thursday's game in Portland. Nique Clifford started the second half in LaVine's absence.

LaVine (thumb) is not listed on the Kings' injury report for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves. After missing Thursday's loss to Denver due to a right thumb issue, LaVine is set to return to action Sunday. Over his last five appearances, the veteran swingman has averaged 22.6 points, 2.8 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals, shooting 43.2 percent from beyond the arc on 7.4 attempts per tilt.

LaVine has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Nuggets due to right thumb soreness. LaVine will miss his first game since Nov. 12 due to a right thumb issue. With Dennis Schroder (hip) considered doubtful for Thursday's contest, Malik Monk, Keon Ellis and Nique Clifford could see a sizeable uptick in minutes. LaVine's next chance to play will come Sunday against the Timberwolves.

LaVine recorded 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 38 minutes during Monday's 116-105 loss to the Pacers. LaVine got off to a torrid start in 2025-26, scoring at least 30 points in five of his first six games, but the campaign has quickly become an erratic one since then. The star guard is struggling to do much outside of the scoring department, averaging 17.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 0.9 steals in 32.3 minutes per contest across his last 16 games.
