Brown is out for Saturday's game versus the Hornets due to a left hip flexor strain, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. Brown tweaked his hip during the third quarter of Friday's contest and will miss his first game of the season against Charlotte. In his absence, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser (back) are candidates to receive increased playing time. Brown's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Atlanta.

Brown had 30 points (10-19 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 10-14 FT), six rebounds and four assists over 38 minutes during Monday's 119-108 victory over the Bucks. Brown shot only 2-for-8 from the field in the first half, though he picked it up in the second and finished as the club's leading scorer. While he had a productive game, the 28-year-old has combined to shoot just 3-for-13 from deep over the last two contests. Brown has begun the season with four consecutive outings with 23-plus points, and Boston remains undefeated Monday thanks in part to Brown and Payton Pritchard, with the latter scoring 28 points while hitting eight threes.

Brown had 24 points (6-24 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and a steal across 38 minutes in Saturday's 124-118 win over the Pistons. Brown's final stat line was impressive, and he finished as the Celtics' second-highest scorer while leading the team in rebounds and assists. However, the lack of efficiency could be worrisome for fantasy managers playing in category-based leagues. Through three outings. Brown is shooting a mere 37 percent from the field.

Brown totaled 27 points (10-20 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and four steals in 30 minutes during Thursday's 122-102 win over the Wizards. Brown finished just two boards away from a double-double and filled the stat sheet admirably with an excellent overall performance in only 30 minutes. Brown has surpassed the 20-point mark in his first two outings of the campaign, and his role as the Celtics' second go-to player on offense behind Jayson Tatum is set in stone, making Brown a valuable commodity in fantasy regardless of the format.

Brown posted 23 points (7-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 132-109 win over the Knicks. The Celtics shot an incredible 47.5 percent as a team from three-point range, and Brown was one of three Boston starters to drain at least five treys on the night. Last season, the 27-year-old forward saw his numbers take a small step back from 2022-23 as the scoring load was spread around a little more, and the defending champs have no reason to change that approach. Even so, Brown has averaged at least 23.0 points a game in four straight seasons, and he's likely to make it five straight in 2024-25.
