  Murray (hand) was able to do some on-court work at Monday's practice, Erin Summers of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network reports. Murray was also able to do some shooting, but he hasn't been cleared for contact just yet. After undergoing surgery back on Oct. 25, Murray was given a 4-to-6-week timetable, and it appears that he's ramping up towards a return in the near future.

Murray suffered a fractured left hand during Wednesday's win over Chicago. The 28-year-old guard is now expected to remain sidelined through most of November. Murray logged 14 points (4-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 10 assists, two rebounds and a steal across 30 minutes during the victory. Despite the expected injury, Murray played deep into the fourth quarter, being subbed out with a minute left in the game along with the rest of New Orleans' starting lineup. If he did suffer a fractured hand, Murray could require a multi-week absence, which would open up more opportunities for Jose Alvarado and Jordan Hawkins. Per Will Guillory of The Athletic, Murray is set to undergo imaging Wednesday night.

  Murray (personal) will play in Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Bulls, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports. Murray was tabbed probable for Wednesday's contest for personal reasons, but as expected, the 28-year-old will make his regular-season debut with the Pelicans. After averaging 9.2 assists per game in 2021 with San Antonio, Murray didn't average more than 6.5 assists in his two seasons playing alongside Trae Young in Atlanta. In New Orleans, Murray could have the opportunity to accumulate more assists and be more of an on-ball threat.
