  The Rockets waived Maker on Monday, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 Houston reports. Maker is expected to report to the G League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He has played in 263 career NBA games but hasn't seen regular-season action since 2020-21.

  Maker and the Rockets agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal Tuesday, Kelly Iko of The Athletic reports. Maker will have an opportunity to compete for a roster spot in training camp. He has 263 career NBA games under his belt, holding averages of 4.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.7 blocks.

Maker played eight minutes Tuesday after missing the previous game with an undisclosed injury. He averages 8.1 points and 6.4 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per game in the G League this season.

  Maker recorded 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt), 14 rebounds and one assist in Wednesday's 96-89 loss to Grand Rapids Gold. Maker was the team leader in rebounds and was one of five to top at least 14 points en route to his second double-double. This marked the fourth game in a row the big man has seen at least 25 minutes and posted double-digit points.
