Brown is recovering from an arthroscopic right knee surgery he underwent at the end of September. He's due for a re-evaluation soon, but it sounds like he'll miss at least the first week of the regular season. With RJ Barrett (shoulder) and Kelly Olynyk (back) also nursing injuries, there'll be plenty of minutes available for Gradey Dick and Ochai Agbaji.

  The Raptors announced Brown underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Thursday, and he will be re-evaluated in three weeks, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports. Brown will be re-evaluated in three weeks, meaning he is more than likely to be held out of the team's preseason opener against the Wizards on Oct. 6, and possibly beyond. The 28-year-old said that the lingering knee issue affected his play starting in December of the 2023-24 season, during which he averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists across 27.9 minutes in 67 appearances (44 starts). If Brown misses additional time, Gradey Dick (ankle) will likely pick up extra minutes and could secure the starting job.
