Horton-Tucker agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with Chicago on Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Horton-Tucker spent the last two seasons in Utah, averaging 10.7 points per game in 2022 and scoring 10.1 points in 19.8 minutes per contest in 2023. The five-year NBA veteran is only 23 years old, and he'll have an opportunity to make the regular-season roster with an impressive training camp.

Horton-Tucker finished with 24 points (10-23 FG, 4-8 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 32 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 111-95 loss to Denver. The 23-year-old guard led the Jazz in scoring on the night as he saw big minutes in the absence of Collin Sexton (illness), Jordan Clarkson (back) and Kris Dunn (foot). Horton-Tucker has scored 12 or more points in each of his last three games, draining multiple three-pointers in each, and he figured to hang onto a significant role in the backcourt over the final few games of the regular season.

Horton-Tucker closed with 17 points (5-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 26 minutes during Friday's 131-102 loss to the Clippers. The Jazz's starting five were almost completely ineffective in the blowout loss, and the huge deficit allowed Utah's bench to empty. Horton-Tucker didn't enter the game until the very end of the first quarter but put in a full 12 minutes in the second and fourth quarters during the blowout. The 23-year-old was expected to have a bigger impact in his second year with the Jazz, but injuries have plagued his 2023-24 campaign, and his lengthy absences allowed other players to leapfrog him on the depth chart. After exercising his $11M option to remain with the team this year, his future with Utah is a bit cloudy, as the Jazz need to pay other valuable players on the roster.

Horton-Tucker contributed seven points (2-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound, three assists and two steals over 19 minutes during Monday's 114-104 loss to the Timberwolves. Horton-Tucker is now averaging 6.2 points, 1.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 17.2 minutes across his last six contests -- with Monday's outing representing an acute continuation of that production. On the season, Horton-Tucker's 0.891 points per possession rank in the 25th percentile among all players, although he is posting a career-high 2.9 percent steal-plus-block rate, so the effort is present.

Horton-Tucker racked up seven points (1-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block across 20 minutes during Saturday's 126-120 loss to Miami. Horton-Tucker moved back into the rotation Saturday, playing at least 20 minutes for the first time since late December. Although he has the ability to contribute across multiple categories, his role is far too insecure to warrant attention outside of very deep leagues.
