Barnes bounced back in a major way Wednesday after shooting 0-for-12 from the field and scoring zero points in Sunday's loss to Minnesota. The star forward turned in an extremely efficient outing against Orlando and led all players in scoring. He also stuffed the stat sheet on the defensive end, recording a game-high three steals and logging at least four combined steals-plus-blocks for a third consecutive contest. Barnes should continue to take on increased responsibilities in the extended absence of Kawhi Leonard (knee).

Barnes simply had no rhythm on the offensive end, going 0-of-12 from the field. Thankfully, he managed to add five combined steals and blocks, somewhat salvaging what was otherwise a night to forget. Poor performance aside, Barnes has had a strong start to the season, mostly rewarding anyone who took a chance on him early in drafts. Barnes did it all for the Raptors Friday and finished with a game-high scoring total despite his struggles from three-point range. The star forward also paced all players in rebounds and tied for the game-high mark in blocks. He's scored at least 23 points in both of Toronto's regular-season outings thus far, totaling 51 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and two blocks in those games.

Barnes, Kawhi Leonard and Immanuel Quickley each scored 23 points during Wednesday's win, and the Raptors starters sat out for most of the fourth quarter thanks to their efforts over the first three quarters. Despite the lack of steals and blocks, the defensive efforts of Barnes and Leonard contributed to the Bulls committing 27 turnovers.
