    Former Knicks PG Alexey Shved signs deal with Russian team

    Ex-New York Knicks guard Alexey Shved has reached an agreement with Russian club Khimki Moscow for three years, per international reporter David Pick.  The deal features out clauses for NBA contracts. Shved averaged 14.0 points in 17 games with the Knicks before being sidelined with a season-ending rib injury.

    Knicks PG Alexey Shved wants more money in new deal

    Contract talks between the New York Knicks and point guard Alexey Shved have broken down, with the player's agent saying he will return to Europe if he doesn't get a better contract offer from the team, per the New York Post.  Shved has declined three previous offers from the Knicks, to whom he was traded to by the Rockets during last season. He averaged 14.0 points in 17 games before being sidelined with a season-ending rib injury.  "We didn't get to the right number with the Knicks," said Obrad Fimic, Shved/s agent. "Maybe next season. We are considering a return to Europe where we have two huge offers."

    Alexey Shved wants to remain with Knicks

    New York Knicks guard Alexey Shved is out for the season with a cracked rib, but he's traveling with the team for the final road trip of the season.  Shved has made it clear that he would like to remain with the Knicks, and the feeling appears to be mutual, accoring to the New York Post. "I hope next year I can stay here,"’ Shved said. "My agent will do his work summertime but I want to stay here. We had a lot of problems and injuries. Everything will change next year and I want to be part of it." Shved only had 16 games with the team, but he made an impression.  "He came on board and was effective penetrating and making plays, being able to shoot the basketball and facilitate for other guys with his size and playmaking," coach Derek Fisher said. "I think he’s done well enough that teams that are interested will have a chance to look at him and see how it goes this summer. ... I’d say he hasn’t done anything to hurt those chances (of re-signing) by the way he’s played."
