Magic's Arinze Onuaku: Gets camp invite from Orlando
Arinze Onuaku signed a training camp contract with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, Brian K. Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel reports.Onuaku earned his invite to training camp on the strength of his performance for the Magic in summer league, during which he averaged 14.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 24.4 minutes per game over five appearances. A traditional back-to-the-basket big man with limited shooting range, Onuaku is probably best suited for center duties at the NBA level, but at 6-foot-9, he's a little undersized for the position. Nonetheless, the Syracuse product will attempt to distinguish himself in camp and claim one of the two or three roster spots that could be up for grabs.
