    Leandro Barbosa: Waived by Suns

Leandro Barbosa was waived by the Suns on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com reports.Barbosa took on a minor role with the Suns during the 2016-17 campaign, playing in 67 games, while averaging 6.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 14.4 minutes. The 34-year-old veteran hasn't mentioned anything about retirement, so it appears he'll look to latch on elsewhere prior to training camp. He should be able to mentor some of the younger guards around the league, which should mean plenty of interest from potential suitors. However, Barbosa likely won't see a ton of minutes no matter where he signs, so there will be better fantasy options elsewhere.

Suns' Leandro Barbosa: Out Sunday vs. Mavericks

Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Mavericks, Craig Grialou of the Arizona Republic reports.Barbosa will miss an eighth straight game with a right hamstring strain and it wouldn't be surprising if he didn't see the court again this season. The Phoenix Suns have already been ruled out of the playoffs and appear content at getting some of their younger players more time, so there's no real reason to bring the veteran back. That said, look for Barbosa to have his status updated again prior to Tuesday's regular-season finale.

Suns' Leandro Barbosa: Ruled out Friday vs. Thunder

Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) won't play in Friday's game against the Thunder. The Phoenix Suns will hold Barbosa out of a seventh straight game due to the right hamstring spasm, and with coach Earl Watson comfortable giving his younger guards all the run they can handle as the season winds down, it's possible we've seen the last of the 34-year-old in 2016-17. He'll still be evaluated on a day-to-day basis ahead of the Suns' final two contests.

Suns' Leandro Barbosa: Out Tuesday vs. Hawks

Leandro Barbosa (hamstring) will sit out Tuesday against the Hawks, Mike Conti of Sports Radio 92.9 AM The Game reports.Barbosa continues to deal with a lingering right hamstring injury, which will force him to sit out a second straight game. That leaves the Phoenix Suns extremely shorthanded in the backcourt, with the likes of Eric Bledsoe (knee) and Brandon Knight (back) having been shut down for the season, Devin Booker (ankle) sitting out with an ankle injury and Ronnie Price still questionable with a lower-leg injury. Those absences should result in heavy workloads for both Tyler Ulis and T.J. Warren, who project to serve as the starting guards Tuesday.
