    Willie Green: Done playing after landing assistant gig with Warrriors

    Willie Green agreed Friday to join the Warriors' staff as an assistant coach for the upcoming season, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.This officially signals the end of Green's playing career, which lasted 12 seasons and included stints with the 76ers, Pelicans, Hawks, Clippers and Magic. After suiting up in 52 games in 2014-15, Green didn't play anywhere last season, wrapping up his career with averages of 8.3 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game over 731 regular-season appearances.

    Magic guard Willie Green has no plans to retire

    Orlando Magic guard Willie Green feels his playing career still has plenty of life in it, reports the Orlando Sentinel. "I definitely want to keep playing," Green said. "I feel like I still have a good maybe three or four years — who knows? — or even more." Green, 33, is averaging 5.8 points and 1.5 rebounds over 46 games for the Magic this season and he said he likes the direction the organization is moving in. "Like I've said before, this is a great possibility for me to come back here," Green said. "Obviously, I would have to talk it over with my representatives and Rob [Hennigan] and Scott Perry. But I like what I see. I like where it's going here in this organization, and I still feel like I have something to offer to the game."
