Alex Sarr C | WAS
Wizards' Alex Sarr: Continues to make mark defensively
Sarr recorded 12 points (4-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 25 minutes during Saturday's 135-116 loss to the Cavaliers.
After going 0-for-5 from deep in his regular-season debut, Sarr made his first career three-pointers in Saturday's blowout loss. The rookie's shooting inconsistencies will be a storyline all season, but Sarr continues to make his mark defensively, totaling 11 boards, four blocks and a steal through two games.

Jusuf Nurkic C | UTA
Suns' Jusuf Nurkic: Stands out with double-double
Nurkic finished with 18 points (7-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-8 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and one block over 30 minutes during Saturday's 114-102 victory over the Mavericks.
Nurkic enjoyed a bigger offensive role Saturday due to the absence of Bradley Beal (elbow), and that was noticeable in how involved he was as a scoring option. Nurkic attempted 12 shots in this win after totaling 10 field goals over his first two contests. Nurkic has scored in double digits while grabbing at least nine rebounds in two of his first three appearances this season.

Victor Wembanyama C | SA
Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Bounces back vs. Houston
Wembanyama totaled 29 points (10-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 30 minutes during Saturday's 109-106 victory over the Rockets.
Wembanyama had a rough showing in the season-opening loss to the Mavericks on Thursday, but the star big man bounced back admirably here and posted an excellent all-around showing. Aside from his contributions on the offensive side of the floor, Wembanyama limited Alperen Sengun to just six points and five rebounds, and that proved to be pivotal in allowing the Spurs to clinch their first win of the season. Expect Wembanyama to continue racking up stats left and right going forward, with a rematch against the Rockets on Monday on the horizon.

Alperen Sengun C | HOU
Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Struggles in loss to San Antonio
Sengun produced six points (2-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals over 22 minutes during Saturday's 109-106 loss to the Spurs.
Sengun couldn't get anything going down low and had a rough time trying to get past Victor Wembanyama, who found a way to limit Sengun's impact considerably on both ends of the court. Sengun had recorded double-doubles in his previous two outings this season, however, and one subpar outing isn't going to worry fantasy managers who trusted him in standard drafts. He should remain a capable producer for the Rockets due to his elite ability to fill the stat sheet.

Domantas Sabonis C | SAC
Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Records triple-double in loss
Sabonis had 29 points (10-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-9 FT), 12 rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal across 37 minutes during Saturday's 131-127 loss to the Lakers.
Sabonis missed out on a double-double in his first game but notched a stat line we've come to expect from him in Saturday's loss. Sabonis will be a double-double threat nightly after leading the league in the category last season. Triple-doubles will be more elusive, but he ended the 2023-24 season ranked first in that category as well.

Anthony Davis C | WAS
Lakers' Anthony Davis: Drops 31 points in victory
Davis provided 31 points (10-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 10-13 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals over 38 minutes during Saturday's 131-127 win over the Kings.
Davis and LeBron James are posting sky-high totals to begin the season, with the 31 points actually representing Davis' low point total to date. The Lakers are a tough team to beat when both All-Stars are humming on all cylinders. Davis has averaged 34.0 points, 11.0 assists and 2.3 blocked shots over the first three games of the season.
-
Chet Holmgren PF | OKC
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Grabs career-high 16 boards
Holmgren delivered 21 points (8-18 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), 16 rebounds, a steal and two blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday's 114-95 win over the Bulls.
The second-year big man recorded a career-high mark in rebounds in this game, and he's picking things up right where he left them off following an impressive rookie season in 2023-24. Holmgren has opened the 2024-25 campaign on a strong note with at least 20 points and 14 boards in his first two outings. With no competition for playing time due to the injury of Isaiah Hartenstein (hand), Holmgren should consistently see upwards of 30 minutes on a regular basis, making him a double-double threat every time he steps on the court.
-
Nikola Vucevic C | BOS
Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: Another double-double
Vucevic delivered 18 points (7-12 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and a block across 33 minutes in Saturday's 114-95 loss to the Thunder.
Vucevic has been the Bulls' most consistent player in the first week of the 2024-25 regular season, recording a double-double in each of his three outings while shooting an impressive 7-for-13 from three-point range. There's going to be some regression in the efficiency department as the season progresses, but there's no question Vucevic is starting this season on a strong note.

Maxi Kleber C | LAL
Mavericks' Maxi Kleber: Won't return Saturday
Kleber won't return to Saturday's game against the Suns due to a right hamstring injury, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
Kleber posted two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two assists and one rebound in 16 minutes prior to departing. Though the 32-year-old remains part of Dallas' rotation to open the 2024-25 season, he'll likely have a tough time surpassing 20 minutes in most games while all of Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively and P.J. Washington are available in the frontcourt. Kleber can be viewed as day-to-day heading into Monday's game against the Jazz.

Jalen Duren C | DET
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Perfect from field Saturday
Duren finished with 15 points (7-7 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday's 124-118 loss to the Celtics.
Duren finished just one rebound shy of opening the new season with two double-doubles over his first three appearances. One of the most promising young big men in The Association, Duren had excellent fantasy upside due to his solid two-way play and his established role as a go-to offensive option on a rebuilding Pistons team. Duren had a career-best season in 2023-24 with 13.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game across 61 regular-season contests, and it wouldn't be surprising if he improves on those numbers in 2024-25.
