  • Jock Landale C | ATL

Rockets' Jock Landale: Good to go

Landale (rest) will be available for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Hornets, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 Houston reports.

As expected, Landale is good to go for the regular-season opener after resting during the preseason finale. With Steven Adams (undisclosed) questionable, Landale may be the top backup center behind Alperen Sengun.

  • Steven Adams C | HOU

Rockets' Steven Adams: Iffy for Wednesday

Adams (undisclosed) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Hornets, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 Houston reports.

Coach Ime Udoka did not specify why Adams is questionable, but there should be more clarity when the Rockets release their injury report Tuesday evening. If Adams is held out, Jock Landale could potentially see some backup center minutes.

  • Raptors' Chris Boucher: Not on injury report

Boucher (knee) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.

After missing Friday's preseason game against the Nets with a mild contusion, Boucher isn't listed on Toronto's official injury report for the regular-season opener. With Kelly Olynyk (back) sidelined Wednesday, Boucher could get the backup center minutes behind Jakob Poeltl, putting the former on the streaming radar.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Good to go Wednesday

Claxton (hamstring) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.

Despite missing the entire preseason, the Nets were always optimistic about Claxton suiting up on Opening Night. Given Brooklyn's lack of frontcourt depth, it will be interesting to see if they place any restrictions on Claxton as he works his way back into form.

  • Alex Sarr C | WAS

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Cleared to play Thursday

Sarr (calf) has been cleared to play in Thursday's game against the Celtics, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.

Sarr missed Washington's final two preseason games with soreness in his calf, but he said Monday that he's feeling great. With a couple more days to go, there's no reason to anticipate the rookie having any restrictions on Opening Night, though his role remains unclear. Sarr started at power forward and center during the preseason, but he's expected to share the frontcourt with Jonas Valanciunas to begin the regular season.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Sidelined to start regular season

Embiid (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Bucks and likely won't play Friday in Toronto, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

The Sixers announced that Embiid continues to respond well to his individualized plan and is expected to begin ramping up for game action soon by participating in scrimmages. However, the former MVP could miss up to three games before being re-evaluated, opening up a huge opportunity for Andre Drummond.

  • Lakers' Christian Koloko: Won't play opening night

Koloko (illness) will not play in Tuesday's regular-season opener against the Timberwolves, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.

Koloko signed a two-way contract with the Lakers in September. Though the Lakers had optimism that Koloko would be ready to go for the start of the regular season, he has yet to be cleared by the NBA's Fitness-to-Play Panel after being diagnosed with blood clots in January. Whenever he's cleared for game action, Koloko will likely spend most of the campaign in the G League with the South Bay Lakers.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Gets green light for Opening Night

Davis (rest) is available for Tuesday's Opening Night matchup against the Timberwolves.

Davis sat out the Lakers' final preseason game due to rest purposes, but he seems to be fully available for Opening Night. The All-Star is coming off a career-high 76 regular-season appearances last season, during which he averaged 24.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.5 combined steals plus blocks across 35.5 minutes per game.

  • Naz Reid C | MIN

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Suiting up for Opening Night

Reid (shoulder) is available for Tuesday's Opening Night matchup against the Lakers.

Reid missed the final two preseason games for Minnesota due to shoulder inflammation, though he is expected to be fully ready for Opening Night. The big man will likely receive his normal share of playing time off the bench behind Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle in the frontcourt.

  • Raptors' Bruno Fernando: Earns final spot on roster

Fernando earned the 15th spot on the Raptors' roster Monday, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.

The Raptors claimed Fernando off waivers in July after he was let go by the Hawks. The 2019 second-round pick averaged 15.2 minutes per game across 45 regular-season contests last year, and while he's buried on the Raptors' depth chart, Fernando could see some playing time early on during the 2024-25 regular season if Kelly Olynyk (back) and Chris Boucher (knee) were to be sidelined.
