Bam Adebayo PF | MIA
Heat's Bam Adebayo: Extends range in preseason
Adebayo tallied 13 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 17 minutes in Tuesday's 111-108 preseason loss to the Hornets.
Adebayo led the Heat starters in minutes played and points. He averaged just 0.6 3PA/G during the 2023-24 regular season, but the three-time All-Star has worked on extending his range during the offseason and the Paris Olympics. Adebayo averaged 19.3 points per game during the regular season last year, but that bumped up to 22.6 points per contest during the Heat's first-round playoff series against the Celtics due to Jimmy Butler being sidelined with an MCL sprain. With Butler entering his 14th NBA season, Adebayo could be tasked with taking on a larger scoring role during the 2024-25 campaign.

Jalen Duren C | DET
Pistons' Jalen Duren: Hits for 17 against Suns
Duren scored 17 points (6-9 FG, 5-6 FT) while adding six rebounds and an assist in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 105-97 preseason loss to the Suns
Duren led the Pistons in scoring and rebounding on a night when both Tobias Harris and Ausar Thompson were sidelined by illness. Duren's production took a big step forward in his second NBA campaign, averaging 13.8 points and 11.6 boards over 61 regular-season games in 2023-24. Detroit's new-look frontcourt could give the 20-year-old even more freedom to crash the glass when it's at full strength.

Nikola Vucevic C | BOS
Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: Double-double to begin preseason
Vucevic posted 12 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 10 rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 116-112 preseason win over the Cavaliers.
The 33-year-old center has seen trade rumors swirl around him in training camp, but for now, Vucevic remains the veteran anchor of the Bulls' frontcourt. He's averaged a double-double in six straight seasons and 10 of the last 12 dating back to his Orlando days, but his 29.4 percent shooting from three-point range last season was his worst mark since 2015-16, giving him something to work on in camp.

Kai Jones C | DAL
Clippers' Kai Jones: Plays 22 minutes in preseason win
Jones posted 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and a blocked shot across 22 minutes in Tuesday's 115-106 win over the Nets.
Jones saw extended minutes from the bench once again during Mo Bamba's (knee) absence. Since Jones' contract isn't guaranteed, the Texas product needs to make the most of his opportunities as he jockeys for position behind Ivica Zubac on the depth chart. Right now, the spot is Bamba's to lose, but a prolonged absence will allow other players to make an impact.

Moses Brown C | DEN
Knicks' Moses Brown: Strikes deal with New York
Brown signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Knicks on Wednesday.
The 7-foot-2, 258-pound center spent the 2023-24 season with the Trail Blazers, appearing in 22 contests (five starts) while averaging 3.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per contest. After becoming a free agent in the offseason, Brown linked up with the Lakers for the Las Vegas Summer League, but he remained unsigned until striking a deal with the Knicks. The 24-year-old will get a chance to compete for a spot on the Knicks' 15-man roster for the remainder of the preseason but could be headed to the G League's Westchester Knicks if he gets cut before the Oct. 22 season opener versus the Celtics.

James Wiseman C | IND
Pacers' James Wiseman: Perfect from field Tuesday
Wiseman logged eight points (4-4 FG, 0-3 FT) and four rebounds across 16 minutes in Tuesday's 131-130 preseason loss to the Hawks.
Wiseman got the start in place of Myles Turner (knee) and was impressive, hitting all four of his shots from the field and looking active on the glass despite playing a mere 16 minutes. Wiseman will aim to deliver a good impression on the coaching staff in the upcoming preseason contests, as he's battling with Isaiah Jackson (undisclosed) for the backup center position behind Turner.

Chet Holmgren PF | OKC
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Efficient in limited run Monday
Holmgren posted 10 points (5-5 FG), two blocks, one rebound and one steal across nine minutes during Monday's 112-107 preseason win over the Spurs.
Holmgren managed to tie for game-high honors in blocks in only nine minutes, and he also ended as the club's fourth-highest scorer while shooting a perfect 5-for-5. The 22-year-old is in for a huge second season alongside Isaiah Hartenstein in the frontcourt, and Holmgren's exceptional two-way abilities will likely make him a mainstay in fantasy lineups.

James Wiseman C | IND
Pacers' James Wiseman: Starting Tuesday
Wiseman will enter the starting lineup for Tuesday's preseason opener against the Hawks.
With both Myles Turner (knee) and Isaiah Jackson (hamstring) ruled out, Wiseman will get the starting nod. The 23-year-old is expected to compete for minutes with Jackson and Obi Toppin off the bench behind Turner, though Wiseman could serve as the third-string center with Toppin backing up Pascal Siakam at power forward.

James Wiseman C | IND
Pacers' James Wiseman: Off injury report Tuesday
Wiseman (groin) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's preseason opener against the Hawks.
With Myles Turner (knee) and Isaiah Jackson (hamstring) both ruled out, the Pacers are expected to take an extended look at Jarace Walker and Wiseman on Tuesday. The 23-year-old will have to compete for minutes off the bench with Obi Toppin, Jackson and Walker, but Wiseman could push his way to the team's backup center role with a strong preseason.

Myles Turner C | MIL
Pacers' Myles Turner: Won't play Tuesday
Turner (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's preseason opener versus the Hawks.
Turner was a last-minute addition to the injury report and will sit for the club's preseason matchup, though he is expected to be back by Opening Night. The big man's absence will likely allow the Pacers to get an extended look at Jarace Walker and James Wiseman with Isaiah Jackson (hamstring) out.
