  • Taj Gibson PF | MEM

Pistons' Taj Gibson: Ruled out for Wednesday

Gibson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

Gibson isn't a large enough part of the rotation for his playing status to impact fantasy hoops. His next chance to play will come Friday against the Celtics.

  • Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Another absence coming

Bagley (back) won't play in Thursday's game versus the Kings.

Bagley's absence streak will extend to nine games Thursday due to a lumbar sprain. While there is no set timetable for his return, Bagley's next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Toronto.

  • Wizards' Richaun Holmes: Questionable against Sacramento

Holmes is questionable for Thursday's game against the Kings due to a non-COVID illness.

Holmes recently returned from a three-game absence due to a left big toe sprain, and he's averaged 9.0 points and 5.7 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per game over three appearances since then. However, it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to suit up Thursday due to his illness.

  • Bulls' Andre Drummond: Not listed on injury report

Drummond (mouth) isn't listed on Chicago's injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Rockets.

Drummond took an elbow to the face during Monday's win over Portland and damaged a tooth. The big man had the issue corrected Wednesday morning, per K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, and should be good to go Thursday. Drummond hasn't seen more than 20 minutes in nine straight games but has still been relatively productive during that stretch, averaging 6.9 points and 7.4 rebounds in 14.3 minutes.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Logs full practice Wednesday

Robinson (ankle) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.

Robinson continues to recover from left ankle surgery and hasn't played since Dec. 8. He was initially in danger of missing the entire campaign but has progressed quicker than expected and is trending toward a return soon, barring a setback. The Knicks will likely wait to see how he recovers from Wednesday's practice before they provide a definitive return timetable. If Robinson is cleared to play, he'll likely operate under major restrictions, but his presence would mean fewer minutes for Isaiah Hartenstein and Jericho Sims.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Not with team for road trip

Embiid (knee) won't join the 76ers during their upcoming four-game road trip, which starts Wednesday in Phoenix and ends Monday in Sacramento, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Embiid, who underwent surgery Feb. 6 to address a left meniscus injury, continues to be limited to non-contact, walkthrough workouts and hopes to start ramping up for game action in April. It's not an unexpected development, as the reigning MVP was expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks following the procedure. While Embiid doesn't have an exact return date, Philadelphia seems to be preparing to get him back for a potential playoff run. The 76ers currently sit sixth in the Eastern Conference standings, but they're one loss away from falling into the Play-In Tournament.

  • Jock Landale C | ATL

Rockets' Jock Landale: Swats seven shots

Landale chipped in 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and seven blocks in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 137-114 win over the Wizards.

With seven blocks, Landale easily set a new career-best mark. His previous best was three blocks, and he's recorded at least two blocks in only 10 total games. Fantasy managers should take this outlier performance with a grain of salt, but Landale is still trending in the right direction with averages of 9.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks over his last five games in Alperen Sengun's (ankle/knee) absence.

  • Heat's Orlando Robinson: Back to NBA

Miami recalled Robinson from the G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce on Wednesday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Robinson was assigned to the G League on Tuesday and posted 25 points and 12 rebounds in 33 minutes during the Sioux Falls Skyforce's 121-107 to the Memphis Hustle. With Miami dealing with numerous injuries, Robinson and Alondes Williams have joined the NBA squad and will be available for Wednesday's game versus the Cavaliers.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Six rejections in Tuesday's loss

Wembanyama posted 12 points (3-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, six blocks and one steal across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 113-107 loss to the Mavericks.

The double-double was his 37th of the season, putting him 10th in the NBA, and his work at the rim marked the eighth time in 12 games since the All-Star break that Wembanyama has recorded at least five blocks. During that stretch, the rookie phenom is averaging 21.3 points, 11.8 boards, 4.8 blocks, 4.7 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.8 steals -- not bad for a player who turned only 20 a few days into the new year.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Huge night on glass

Sharpe finished with eight points (4-11 FG), 17 rebounds, three assists and two blocks over 24 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 104-91 loss to the Pelicans.

The 17 boards were a career high for Sharpe, topping the 15 he pulled down against the Knicks on Dec. 20. The third-year center has only 20 rebounds over the prior five games combined, and he hasn't recorded a double-double since Jan. 3. Tuesday was also the first time in March that Sharpe played 20-plus minutes in a game, and without a more consistent role in the Brooklyn rotation, he's tough to roster in almost any format.
