  • Clint Capela C | HOU

Hawks' Clint Capela: Fourth straight double-double

Capela had 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 FT), 15 rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 32 minutes during Friday's 124-122 loss to the Jazz.

The veteran center put together his fourth straight double-double and 28th of the season. Capela needed about a week after the All-Star break to get back up to speed following a six-game absence due to an adductor strain, but over his last seven contests he's averaging 12.6 points, 11.7 boards and 2.3 assists while shooting 55.2 percent from the floor. Friday's game was the first time during that stretch he recorded multiple blocks, however.

  • Pelicans' Jonas Valanciunas: Muted effort in win

Valanciunas amassed four points (1-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and six rebounds across 18 minutes during Friday's 112-104 win over the Clippers.

Valanciunas was woeful in the loss, scoring just four points in 18 minutes. He has now scored in single digits in six of the past eight games, playing limited minutes despite remaining in the starting lineup. The Pelicans are rolling right now, having won five of their past six games. As long as his reduced role continues, Valacinuas can be dropped in shallow fantasy formats.

  • Clippers' Mason Plumlee: Logs six minutes in loss

Plumlee posted three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 FT) and two rebounds across six minutes during Friday's 112-104 loss to the Pelicans.

Plumlee was used sparingly, managing just six minutes in the loss. The Pelicans are fine with running out a small-ball lineup, negating the impact of players like Plumee and Daniel Theis. Given Plumlee has played fewer than 10 minutes in four straight games, fantasy managers are well within reason to ignore him across all fantasy formats.

  • Clippers' Daniel Theis: Fails to score Friday

Theis finished with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound over seven minutes during Friday's 112-104 loss to the Pelicans.

Theis failed to score in the loss, playing no more than 15 minutes for the sixth time in the past seven games. While he does provide the Clippers with a veteran piece at the center spot, it is clear his time as a consistent fantasy asset has come and gone. There is no reason to roster him, even in deeper formats.

  • Jalen Duren C | DET

Pistons' Jalen Duren: Double-double vs. Miami

Duren notched 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 FT), 17 rebounds, one assist and one block across 34 minutes during Friday's 108-95 loss to the Heat.

Duren has registered a double-double in four straight games and ranks ninth in the NBA in that category. He's scored 15-plus points in three straight games and has gone 23-for-28 from the field in that span. The 2022 first-round pick is averaging career highs in points and rebounds and has provided a solid presence in the middle for Detroit this season.

  • Bam Adebayo PF | MIA

Heat's Bam Adebayo: Leads Heat in scoring Friday

Adebayo amassed 22 points (10-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals across 29 minutes during Friday's 108-95 win over the Pistons.

Adebayo was able to play through a lower-back contusion to lead the Heat in both points and rebounds Friday. It's the first time since March 2 that he has scored 20-plus points, and he even managed to hit his second three of the season. Since the All-Star break, Adebayo is averaging 18.4 points on 51.6 percent shooting, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.3 steals over 34.3 minutes per game.

  • Taj Gibson PF | MEM

Pistons' Taj Gibson: Will finish season in Detroit

Gibson inked a deal with Detroit on Friday that will keep him with the team for the remainder of the season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Gibson was nearing the end of his 10-day deal, and though he has yet to make his Pistons debut, the coaching staff and front office saw enough value from him in practices and as a veteran mentor off the bench to keep him around on a more permanent basis. The 38-year-old is still likely to remain on the outside looking in for a rotation spot for the rest of the season, barring injuries to Detroit's other frontcourt players.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Likely for Saturday

Davis (Achilles) has been given a probable designation ahead of Saturday's matchup with the Warriors, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.

Davis has routinely been listed on the Lakers' injury report lately, but he has played in each of the team's previous 17 games. The star big man has averaged 24.1 points, 13.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.6 blocks across 36.0 minutes during that span. Final confirmation on his status for Saturday will presumably come closer to tipoff after he tests things out during pregame warmups.

  • Grizzlies' Brandon Clarke: Remains out

Clarke (Achilles) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Thunder.

Clarke, who's yet to play this year while rehabbing from Achilles surgery, is nearing a return to game action but will miss at least one more contest. His next chance to suit up will come Monday in Sacramento, but even if he's cleared to suit up, Clarke will likely be under major restrictions.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Questionable against Utah

Gobert (ribs) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Jazz.

Gobert is in danger of missing Saturday's contest due to a left rib sprain he suffered against the Clippers. If the defensive stalwart is ruled out, Naz Reid will likely start at center in his absence.
