  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Records double-double in victory

Holmgren finished Wednesday's 128-120 victory over the Trail Blazers with 21 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 14 rebounds, five assists and one block over 33 minutes.

Holmgren was squelched by the Lakers on Monday evening but had a much easier time against the short-handed Trail Blazers. The Gonzaga product is unlikely to best Victor Wembanyama as the season's top rookie, but he's a big part of the Thunder's elevation to the top of the Western Conference. As he matures, he will eventually be a more consistent double-double threat, but he has hit the mark 18 times this season.

  • John Collins PF | LAC

    Jazz's John Collins: Scores season-high 25 points

Collins closed Wednesday's 119-117 loss to the Bulls with 25 points (11-20 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 32 minutes.

Collins was dominant on offense and posted his best tally of the season, which is even more impressive considering his struggles with his three-point shooting. Collins surpassed the 20-point mark just for the fifth time this campaign, but the veteran forward has been really consistent with his contributions. Collins has scored in double digits in five of his last six appearances while posting three double-doubles in that span.

  • Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: Keeps double-double streak alive

Vucevic ended with 23 points (11-18 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 12 rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 119-117 victory over Utah.

Another game, another double-double for the veteran big man, as he's benefiting enormously from the uptick in touches ever since Zach LaVine went down with a season-ending foot injury back in mid-January. Vucevic is getting closer to the numbers he posted when he was the anchor of the Magic's offense a few seasons ago before getting traded to Chicago. Over his last 15 games, Vucevic has 11 double-doubles while averaging 20.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 0.9 blocks per game.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Monster double-double in loss

Allen supplied 18 points (7-11 FG, 4-5 FT), 19 rebounds, three assists and one block across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 112-101 loss to the Hawks.

Allen had tons of space in the paint since Evan Mobley (ankle) was sidelined, and that reflected immediately in his rebounding numbers, as the 19 boards represented his second-highest mark of the campaign. Allen has been playing well of late, and even though he only has four double-doubles over his last nine games since the end of the All-Star break, he's still averaging a decent 17.8 points with 10.8 rebounds per contest in that stretch.

  • Magic's Wendell Carter: Deemed questionable for Friday

Carter (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks.

Carter was held out of Wednesday's game against the Wizards with right knee soreness, allowing Goga Bitadze to start and play 25 minutes. If Carter ends up taking the floor Friday, expect him to reclaim his starting spot.

  • Thunder's Bismack Biyombo: Endures medical incident

Biyombo collapsed while standing during a timeout in Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports. He was able to get up and walk to the locker room unassisted.

Biyombo appeared to have fainted during a timeout, falling backward into the Oklahoma City bench. However, he was able to get up on his own and walked back to the locker room. Per Nick Gallo of the Thunder's official site, Biyombo was cleared of any serious medical issues and will undergo further evaluation Thursday. He didn't log any minutes before the incident in question.

  • Ivica Zubac C | IND

Clippers' Ivica Zubac: Falls ill, misses second half

Zubac didn't play in the second half of Wednesday's 122-116 win over the Rockets due to an illness, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. He finished with three points (1-4 FG, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two blocks and one assist across 15 minutes.

Zubac was replaced by Mason Plumlee to start the second half after dealing with headaches and trouble breathing during early portions of the game. The big man has been battling an illness over the last week, and he doesn't yet appear to have made a full recovery. Zubac will now have two full days to rest before the Clippers host the Bulls on Saturday.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Will face Kings

Davis (Achilles) will play in Wednesday's game against Sacramento, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.

Davis was initially labeled probable, so his availability shouldn't come as a surprise. The big man has logged a double-double in nine consecutive games and has swatted three shots in four straight outings.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Out Thursday with ankle sprain

Wembanyama will be sidelined for Thursday's game against the Kings due to a sprained right ankle, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Wembanyama will be held out of Thursday's contest after picking up an ankle sprain. In his absence, Zach Collins and Dominick Barlow should handle most of the center minutes. Wembanyama's next chance to play will come Saturday at Golden State.

  • Trail Blazers' Deandre Ayton: Ruled out for Wednesday

Ayton (hand) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.

While Ayton is reportedly making progress, he's still feeling too much pain in his hand/wrist to be able to take the floor. He'll miss his fourth straight game Wednesday, and with Portland's next two games coming as a Friday/Saturday back-to-back set, he should be considered closer to doubtful than questionable for Friday's game. Duop Reath should get another start and makes for an excellent target in all leagues.
