  • Bol Bol C | PHO

Suns' Bol Bol: Out for Wednesday

Bol (foot) will be active but will not play Wednesday against the Nets, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.

Bol is set to miss his 10th straight game, but he's not a large enough part of the rotation for his absence to impact fantasy hoops. His next chance to play will come Friday in Atlanta.

  • Mike Muscala C | OKC

Pistons' Mike Muscala: Gets starting nod

Muscala is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Cavaliers, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports.

Muscala will replace Isaiah Stewart (ankle) in the starting lineup Wednesday. Muscala is averaging 4.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 13.5 minutes across his first six appearances for the Pistons.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Starting Wednesday

Allen (illness) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Detroit.

Allen is feeling a little ill, but he'll power through and get out there for a favorable matchup against the Pistons. Feel free to get him active.

  • Zach Collins C | CHI

Spurs' Zach Collins: Downgraded to out

Collins (ankle) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Magic, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Collins' absence streak will extend to three games Wednesday due to right ankle soreness. His next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with New Orleans.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Won't play Thursday

Embiid (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Jazz, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The results of Embiid's MRI on Wednesday remain unknown, but he won't travel with the team to Utah and will instead head to Philadelphia to receive further evaluation on his left knee. The reigning MVP missed back-to-back games due to left knee soreness before returning to action Tuesday versus Golden State, though he labored throughout the contest and was sidelined for the final four minutes after Golden State's Jonathan Kuminga landed on Embiid's left knee. The collision reportedly isn't a setback from his previous injury, but it's concerning nonetheless. Following Thursday's game in Utah, the 76ers have a four-game homestand which starts Saturday versus Brooklyn and ends Friday versus Atlanta. Paul Reed should continue to start in Embiid's absence, but the 76ers are just 3-9 without the big man and have lost four straight.

  • Al Horford C | GS

Celtics' Al Horford: Not on injury report

Horford (neck) isn't on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Lakers, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.

Horford sat out the second half of a back-to-back set Tuesday against the Pacers, but he'll return to action two days later. Horford has averaged 7.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 27.0 minutes per game over his last four appearances, and he could see an increased workload if Luke Kornet (hamstring) -- who is questionable for Thursday's matchup -- is forced to miss a third consecutive game.

  • Luke Kornet C | SA

Celtics' Luke Kornet: Questionable for Thursday

Kornet (hamstring) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Lakers, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.

Kornet has missed the last two games due to a tight left hamstring, but it's somewhat encouraging that he's deemed questionable on Boston's initial injury report for Thursday's game after being listed as doubtful for the previous two matchups. Over his last five appearances, he's averaged 7.4 points and 5.2 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per game.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Good to go

Holmgren (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets.

Holmgren was listed as questionable due to a left ankle sprain and wasn't present during the team's morning shootaround Wednesday, but he's been cleared to suit up and will continue his perfect attendance during the 2023-24 campaign. The rookie has struggled offensively over the last two games, scoring just 13 points on 6-for-20 shooting, but he's totaled 19 rebounds and four blocks during that stretch, proving he doesn't need to be a prolific scorer to make a fantasy impact.

  • Nikola Jokic C | DEN

    Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Out Wednesday

Jokic (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Thunder.

Jokic is dealing with lower back pain and will miss his first game since Nov. 27. DeAndre Jordan started in Jokic's absence during that contest and turned back the clock with 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes. Peyton Watson is also a candidate for increased playing time versus Oklahoma City, while Jokic's next chance to suit up will come Friday versus Portland.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Not seen at shootaround

Holmgren, who is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets with a left ankle sprain, wasn't spotted on the court for the Thunder's morning shootaround, Brett Dawson of SelloutCrowd.com reports.

While Dawson cautions not to read too much into Holmgren's absence from shootaround, a player's lack of participation in shootaround is often an indicator that he'll sit out a game later in the evening. Fantasy managers in leagues that set lineups daily will still want to verify Holmgren's status one way or the other as Wednesday's 8 p.m. ET tipoff approaches. If Holmgren is sidelined Wednesday for the first time all season, head coach Mark Daigneault could lean on a committee of Jaylin Williams, Kenrich Williams and Olivier Sarr to fill minutes at center. The Thunder could also experiment with more small-ball or guard-heavy lineups.
