  • Paul Reed C | DET

Pistons' Paul Reed: Questionable for personal reasons

Reed is questionable for Saturday's game against the Pacers for personal reasons.

Reed is trying to rejoin the team following a one-game absence. With Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart both healthy, Reed is unlikely to be part of Detroit's rotation in a significant capacity.

  • Steven Adams C | HOU

Rockets' Steven Adams: Omitted from injury report

Adams (rest) is not on the injury report for Friday's game against Minnesota.

The veteran center's omission is worth noting, as he tends to sit out one half of back-to-back sets. Adams is slated to appear in two games in as many days for the first time this season, meaning Clint Capela may not see the floor at all Friday.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Expected to play Friday

Sabonis (knee) is expected to play in Friday's game against the Wizards, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports. The Kings are still listing Sabonis (knee) as questionable on the official injury report.

The stage is set for the star big man to finish a 27-game absence with a partial meniscus tear. The expectation is that Sabonis will start right away, which would force rookie first-rounder Maxime Raynaud back to the bench. Sabonis has averaged 17.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 33.2 minutes per tilt through 11 games this season.

  • Oso Ighodaro C | PHO

Suns' Oso Ighodaro: Supplies career-high six steals

Ighodaro recorded 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 FT), three rebounds, one block and six steals in 26 minutes during Thursday's 108-105 loss to Detroit.

Ighodaro set a new career high with six steals in the close loss, doing what he could to make up for the absence of Devin Booker (ankle). It's been a strong month for the second-year big, who has averaged 6.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals across 23.5 minutes in his past 15 games. Those aren't elite numbers, but he's arguably making a much bigger impact than the box score would suggest.

  • Hornets' Ryan Kalkbrenner: Continues to come off bench

Kalkbrenner totaled nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 15 minutes during Thursday's 135-117 win over the Lakers.

After missing 10 straight games due to an elbow injury, Kalkbrenner returned to action in Utah on Jan. 10 and posted 12 points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes. However, over his past two appearances, the rookie center has totaled only 11 points and six rebounds in 28 minutes. It's unclear if Kalkbrenner is still managing an injury or if the Hornets are just being overly cautious. Either way, Moussa Diabate has been the more productive center for Charlotte in recent games.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Not on injury report

Robinson (ankle/rest) isn't listed on New York's injury report for Saturday's game against the Suns.

Robinson rested Thursday night against the Warriors after posting eight points (3-3 FG, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, one block and one steal in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 112-101 loss to the Kings. Despite limited minutes, Robinson has averaged 11.0 rebounds per game over his last five appearances.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Draws questionable tag for Friday

The Kings list Sabonis (knee) as questionable for Friday's game against the Wizards.

After turning in a full practice Thursday, Sabonis looks as though he'll have a chance at making his return to the lineup a day later following a 27-game absence due to a partial meniscus tear in his left knee. The veteran big man has already battled multiple injuries during the first half of the season, as he previously missed the Kings' 2025-26 opening game while recovering from a preseason hamstring injury, then missed two games in November due to a left ribcage contusion. The Kings will presumably see how Sabonis checks out during their morning shootaround before deciding on his status ahead of Friday's 10 p.m. ET tipoff. Even if Sabonis gets the green light to play, he could have his minutes monitored closely in what would be his first game in two months.

  • Trail Blazers' Donovan Clingan: Pulls down 12 rebounds

Clingan ended with nine points (3-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-7 FT), 12 rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes during Thursday's 117-101 victory over Atlanta.

For the 23rd time this campaign, Clingan recorded double-digit rebounds for Portland. The second-year center is in the midst of a solid campaign, as he's on pace for seventh-round value in nine-category formats with averages of 10.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks.

  • Yang Hansen C | POR

Trail Blazers' Yang Hansen: Left out of rotation Thursday

Hansen (coach's decision) didn't appear off the bench Thursday in the Trail Blazers' 117-101 win over the Hawks.

After making an appearance in the G League for the Rip City Remix on Wednesday and producing 22 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 30 minutes in a 123-99 win over the Oklahoma City Blue, Hansen rejoined Portland ahead of its matchup with the Hawks. However, the rookie big man found himself outside of the rotation, as Portland went with Jerami Grant, Robert Williams and Duop Reath as its reserve big men before frontcourt starters Sidy Cissoko and Donovan Clingan. Hansen could have more G League assignments in his future if playing time remains hard to come by at the NBA level.

  • Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Huge night on boards

Towns produced 17 points (6-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 20 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 31 minutes during Thursday's 126-113 loss to the Warriors.

Towns put together an elite showing on the glass, resulting in a new season high in rebounds. Eight of his 20 boards came on the offensive glass, which also marks a season high. Towns has now recorded a double-double in five of his last seven matchups, and his scoring efficiency is slowly starting to trend in the right direction.
