Nikola Jokic C | DEN
Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Double-double in defeat
Jokic registered 29 points (12-22 FG, 5-10 3Pt), 14 assists, seven rebounds and three steals in 36 minutes during Tuesday's 131-130 loss to the Mavericks.
Jokic delivered a strong all-around showing Tuesday but fell short of a triple-double and couldn't will the Nuggets to a win. The star center was active from beyond the arc, matching a season high with five made three-pointers. Jokic has tallied 26 double-doubles and 14 triple-doubles on the season, underscoring his continued dominance.

Victor Wembanyama C | SA
Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Passive performance Tuesday
Wembanyama totaled 12 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 130-110 win over the Thunder.
Wembanyama wasn't really a factor despite the win, producing arguably his worst performance of the season. He continues to come off the bench, having now played fewer than 24 minutes in all five games since returning from a calf injury. Given the recent frustrations, now could be a good time to try and execute a buy-low if you are of the opinion that his playing time will trend up in the next few games.

Branden Carlson C | OKC
Thunder's Branden Carlson: Role evaporates Tuesday
Carlson produced one assist in two minutes during Tuesday's 130-110 loss to the Spurs.
Carlson barely touched the floor Tuesday, with his role severely impacted by the return of both Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Hartenstein. While Carlson has shown some promise to begin his career, it appears as though he is a long way from being considered a viable fantasy asset outside of dynasty formats.

Jaxson Hayes C | LAL
Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Won't return Tuesday
Hayes won't return to Tuesday's game against the Suns due to left ankle soreness, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports. He'll finish with two points (2-2 FT) and one rebound across five minutes off the bench.
Hayes moved back to a bench role after starting the Lakers' previous two games, and he played limited minutes before exiting the contest due to the ankle issue. His next opportunity to suit up will come Thursday against the Rockets.

Chet Holmgren PF | OKC
Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Exits early Tuesday
Holmgren exited Tuesday's 130-110 loss to the Spurs with 7:08 remaining in the fourth quarter due to an apparent facial injury and did not return, Justin Martinez of The Oklahoman reports.
Holmgren took a shot to the face from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and did not check back in after exiting the game. While it's unclear if Holmgren was available to return, the Thunder could have been taking a cautious approach considering the Spurs had a double-digit lead. The star big man's next opportunity to play will come in Thursday's rematch against San Antonio, and the Thunder are expected to provide an update on his status by Wednesday night.

Karl-Anthony Towns C | NY
Knicks' Karl-Anthony Towns: Shines in return to Minnesota
Towns logged 40 points (14-24 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 9-11 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 35 minutes during the Knicks' 115-104 loss to the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
It was Towns' second game in Minnesota since being traded by the Timberwolves to the Knicks in October 2024. The superstar big man put on a show in his return to Target Center, carrying the Knicks' offense in the absence of Jalen Brunson (ankle). Towns finished with a season-high 40 points, though it wasn't enough for New York to come away with the road win. It was his 19th double-double of the season, which ranks third most in the NBA behind Nikola Jokic (26) and Jalen Johnson (20). Towns has averaged 23.6 points on 54.6 percent shooting along with 11.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.0 steals over 32.7 minutes per game since Dec. 2.

Brook Lopez C | LAC
Clippers' Brook Lopez: Starting Tuesday sans Zubac
Lopez is in the Clippers' starting lineup against the Rockets on Tuesday, NBA writer Justin Russo reports.
Lopez will enter the Clippers' starting lineup for the first time this season Tuesday in the absence of Ivica Zubac, who will be sidelined for at least three weeks due to a Grade 2 left ankle sprain. Lopez started in all 80 regular-season games for the Bucks during the 2024-25 campaign and averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.9 blocks over 31.8 minutes per game. Lopez has struggled from the field this season (his 40.5 percent field-goal clip is a career worst), but perhaps more consistent playing time will help with his shooting woes.

Joel Embiid C | PHI
76ers' Joel Embiid: Returns Tuesday
Embiid (knee) returned to Tuesday's game against the Nets with 6:49 remaining in the third quarter, per the broadcast.
Embiid sustained an apparent right knee injury earlier in the quarter and briefly exited to the locker room. However, he returned to the bench shortly thereafter with wrapping on both knees, and it's a positive sign he was able to check back in after a short stint on the sidelines. He appears to be good to go for the remainder of the contest.

Jock Landale C | ATL
Grizzlies' Jock Landale: Won't start Tuesday
Landale won't start against the Jazz on Tuesday.
Landale got the starting nod in Monday's loss to the Thunder but will come off the bench in favor of Santi Aldama on Tuesday. Landale has averaged 11.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals across 25.8 minutes per game in his last five outings off the bench.

Joel Embiid C | PHI
76ers' Joel Embiid: Exits to locker room
Embiid exited to the locker room after sustaining an apparent right knee injury in the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Nets, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
Embiid hit the floor hard and grabbed at his right knee before eventually heading back to the locker room. If the star big man is unable to return, Andre Drummond and Adem Bona are candidates for increased playing time the rest of the way.
