  • Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Ruled out vs. Denver

Powell is out for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets with an illness, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Powell's next chance to return comes Thursday against the Warriors. Anthony Davis is set to play the majority of the center minutes Tuesday, while Daniel Gafford has the backup role all to himself.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Will play Tuesday

Embiid (illness) is available for Tuesday's game against the Nets.

As expected, Embiid will shake off his probable tag due to an illness and return from a two-game absence. The star big man has appeared in four games in December, during which he has averaged 22.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 combined steals-plus-blocks over 29.3 minutes per contest. He has shot just 37.7 percent from the field during that span.

  • Hornets' Ryan Kalkbrenner: Ruled out Tuesday

Kalkbrenner is out for Tuesday's game against the Wizards with a sprained left elbow.

The rookie second-rounder will be sidelined for a second game in a row with the injury. Friday's matchup in Orlando marks his next chance to suit up. With Mason Plumlee (groin) out of action, the Hornets appear to be left with Moussa Diabate to handle the bulk of the center minutes Tuesday.

  • Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Downgraded to doubtful Tuesday

Powell is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets with an illness.

Powell is expected to be downgraded to out at some point prior to Tuesday's tipoff. He's been outside of the Dallas rotation for three consecutive games, so the center minutes are unlikely to be changed by his likely absence.

  • Trail Blazers' Robert Williams: Won't play Tuesday

Williams (rest) won't play Tuesday against the Magic.

Tuesday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, and Williams hasn't been cleared to play in both halves yet. It remains to be seen if Duop Reath or Yang Hansen will pick up some backup center minutes Tuesday. Williams posted eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one block in 14 minutes during Monday's loss to the Pistons.

  • Jusuf Nurkic C | UTA

    Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Resting Tuesday

Nurkic is out for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies for rest purposes.

The expectation should be that the veteran big man will return to the lineup Friday against the Pistons, which is notably the first half of a back-to-back set. Kyle Filipowski should handle the lion's share of the center minutes, with Kevin Love backing him up.

  • Goga Bitadze C | ORL

Magic's Goga Bitadze: Iffy for Tuesday

Bitadze is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Trail Blazers with a strained left knee.

Fantasy managers can expect the Magic to determine Bitadze's status closer to Tuesday's tipoff. Should the big man be unable to suit up, Orlando Robinson would have the backup center job all to himself.

  • Thunder's Isaiah Hartenstein: Absent from injury report

Hartenstein (calf) is off the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

Hartenstein is good to go for the second half of Oklahoma City's back-to-back set. For the campaign, Hartenstein has averaged 11.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.2 steals in 27.4 minutes per contest through 21 games. Branden Carlson should head to the bench Tuesday.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Available for Tuesday

Holmgren (illness) is available for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.

Holmgren will be back in action after missing the front end of this back-to-back set. Through 24 games, Holmgren holds averages of 18.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.5 three-pointers.

  • Nuggets' Jonas Valanciunas: Probable against Dallas

Valanciunas is probable for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks with an illness.

The 37-year-old center ultimately shed a probable tag ahead of Monday's game against the Jazz and is likely to do the same Tuesday. Valanciunas has averaged 9.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.9 minutes per contest through nine games this month.
