  • Lakers' Deandre Ayton: Won't play Tuesday

Ayton (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Clippers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.

Ayton was forced out of Sunday's game due to a right knee contusion, and now he will miss Tuesday's contest. Additionally, it's not a great sign that he's getting ruled out 24 hours in advance of tipoff, but the good news is that after Tuesday's game, the Lakers are off until Friday, meaning Ayton will have four full days to rest up. Jaxson Hayes will likely get the start in his absence, and Maxi Kleber should be able to get into the rotation.

  • Jericho Sims C | MIL

Bucks' Jericho Sims: Making first start of season

Sims is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.

Sims will join the first unit for the first time this season given the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (groin). Bobby Portis drew a pair of starts in Milwaukee's previous two matchups without Antetokounmpo, but it'll be Sims who gets a look Monday evening. He's averaging 2.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in his last five appearances off the bench.

  • Christian Koloko: Waived by LAL

The Lakers waived Koloko on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

After spending the 2024-25 campaign on a two-way contract with the Lakers, Koloko signed another one-year, two-way pact with the club in July. However, the big man will now have to explore other opportunities after being let go. In a corresponding move, Los Angeles signed Drew Timme to a two-way deal.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Good to go Monday

Claxton (quadriceps) is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Knicks, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.

Claxton was listed as probable leading up to tipoff, and the team has since confirmed his availability. The big man is averaging 13.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.0 blocks over his last five appearances.

  • Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: Ruled out Monday

Vucevic (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pelicans.

Vucevic was a late addition to the injury report due to right knee soreness and will miss his first game of the season. His next opportunity to play will come Friday against the Hornets. With the veteran center sidelined, Jalen Smith is likely to enter the starting five, while Patrick Williams and Noa Essengue are candidates for increased playing time.

  • Mavericks' Anthony Davis: Ruled out Monday

Davis (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Heat, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports.

As expected, Davis will miss his 14th consecutive contest due to a left calf strain. On a more positive note, head coach Jason Kidd said he anticipates the 32-year-old will practice this week, according to Eddie Sefko of the Mavericks' official site. The star big man's next opportunity to play will come Friday against the Lakers. With Davis and Dereck Lively (foot) both sidelined, Naji Marshall, Daniel Gafford and Moussa Cisse are candidates for increased minutes.

  • Wizards' Marvin Bagley: Questionable for Tuesday

Bagley (hip) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.

Bagley has missed the Wizards' past two games due to a right hip contusion and is questionable to return Tuesday. The 2018 first-round pick has held a steady bench role in the frontcourt, averaging 7.6 points and 4.4 rebounds in 15.8 minutes across 14 appearances (one start) this season. If he remains out, Tristan Vukcevic would be positioned for increased minutes at center.

  • Joel Embiid C | PHI

76ers' Joel Embiid: Questionable for Tuesday

Embiid (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Magic, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

The superstar big man has a chance to return from a seven-game absence due to knee injury management. Embiid was a full participant in Monday's practice, per Aaronson, which bodes well for his chances of suiting up. Although Embiid will likely have a minutes restriction if he plays, his presence would almost certainly push Andre Drummond back to the bench.

  • Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Absent from injury report

Porzingis (rest) is not listed on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Wizards, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

The stage is set for the star big man to rejoin the fray after missing Sunday's game against the Hornets for rest purposes. Onyeka Okongwu is likely to head back to the bench Tuesday. Porzingis has averaged 18.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.7 blocks per tilt in 11 games this season.

  • Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Listed out with illness

Robinson (illness) is out for Monday's game against the Nets.

Robinson was a late addition to the injury report Monday, and he can be labeled as day-to-day with an illness ahead of Wednesday's contest in Charlotte. The Knicks tend to shift Karl-Anthony Towns to center during Robinson's absences, perhaps opening the door for Josh Hart to join the starting lineup Monday.
