  • Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Strong showing in bench role

Okongwu finished with 12 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes during Saturday's 122-116 preseason win over the Grizzlies.

Okongwu put together another strong final line off the bench, shooting with efficiency on the offensive end. Kristaps Porzingis drew a second straight preseason start. Still, it's abundantly clear that both Porzingis and Okongwu will continue to be heavily involved in the frontcourt heading into the regular season.

  • Hornets' Ryan Kalkbrenner: Double-doubles in win

Kalkbrenner finished with 14 points (7-7 FG), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block across 25 minutes during Saturday's 120-116 preseason win over the Mavericks.

Kalkbrenner was incredibly efficient as a starter, as he was flawless from the field, hitting all seven of his field-goal attempts. The rookie center continues to make an impression during the preseason, which could result in more time on the floor for the Creighton product once the regular season gets underway.

  • Ibou Badji C | CHA

Hornets' Ibou Badji: Won't play Saturday

Badji (toe) has been ruled out for Saturday's preseason game against the Mavericks.

Badji continues to nurse a toe injury, which has kept him sidelined during the preseason. The next opportunity for him to return to the floor will be Wednesday against the Grizzlies.

  • Grizzlies' Lawson Lovering: Not in starting lineup Saturday

Lovering is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason game against the Hawks.

Lovering is battling for a roster spot with the Grizzlies. While he started against Boston on Oct. 8, he will have to wait for an opportunity off the bench in this one.

  • Jock Landale C | ATL

    Grizzlies' Jock Landale: Starting Saturday

Landale (rest) will be in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason game against the Hawks.

Landale will be in the first five after sitting out Wednesday's game against the Celtics for rest purposes. He came one point and three rebounds shy of a double-double in his last preseason outing Monday against the Pistons.

  • Hornets' Ryan Kalkbrenner: Starting vs. Dallas

Kalkbrenner is in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason game against the Mavericks, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Kalkbrenner has shown some promising signs in the preseason, and the coaching staff has rewarded the rookie with a start here. This means Moussa Diabate will head to the bench.

  • Thunder's Branden Carlson: Won't play Saturday

Carlson (calf) didn't play in Saturday's preseason game against the Pacers.

Carlson continues to nurse a calf injury, which has kept him sidelined during the preseason. The next opportunity for him to suit up will be Tuesday against the Bucks.

  • Jock Landale C | ATL

Grizzlies' Jock Landale: Suiting up vs. Atlanta

Landale (rest) will play in Saturday's preseason game against the Hawks, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Landale didn't play against the Celtics on Wednesday due to rest, but the big man will be available for this contest Saturday. Landale should see steady minutes in the rotation as frontcourt depth for the Grizzlies, but he isn't expected to be a starter even with Zach Edey (ankle) set to be sidelined for Opening Night.

  • Thunder's Isaiah Hartenstein: Out against Indiana

Hartenstein (undisclosed) will not play in Saturday's exhibition against Indiana, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.

This sounds like another planned maintenance day for Hartenstein, as the Thunder left several players back at home for this away game. Hartenstein's next chance to play comes Tuesday in an exhibition against the Bucks.

  • Chet Holmgren PF | OKC

Thunder's Chet Holmgren: Won't play vs. Indiana

Holmgren (shoulder) has been ruled out for Saturday's preseason game against the Pacers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Holmgren will be among the notable players on his squad who will not suit up. The Gonzaga product is dealing with shoulder soreness and has missed the team's last three preseason games.
