Maxi Kleber C | LAL
Lakers' Maxi Kleber: Remaining out for Game 2
Kleber (foot) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 2 against the Timberwolves, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
Kleber has been sidelined since Jan. 25 while recovering from surgery on his right foot, which he underwent Jan. 30. The big man has been cleared to participate in practices, though there's still no timetable for his return to game action. Kleber's next chance to play in the Western Conference quarterfinals against the Timberwolves will come Friday.

Steven Adams C | HOU
Rockets' Steven Adams: Effective in Game 1 loss
Adams ended Sunday's 95-85 loss to the Warriors in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with six points (3-4 FG, 0-2 FT), 12 rebounds and one assist across 19 minutes.
Although Adams would alternate roles with Jock Landale during the regular season at times, he'll likely claim the bulk of the backup center minutes during the playoffs. During the regular season, Adams saw just 14.0 minutes per night with 4.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

Kel'el Ware C | MIA
Heat's Kel'el Ware: Struggles in loss
Ware notched two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 20 minutes during Sunday's 121-100 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Ware has been a big part of the Heat's success during the 2024-25 campaign, but he failed to make an impact in Game 1 against Cleveland, finishing with only two points. The young center has a tall task going up against Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen, but if Miami hopes to have any chances of making this a series with Cleveland, they'll need a lot more from Ware in Game 2.

Al Horford C | GS
Celtics' Al Horford: Muted performance in win
Horford ended Sunday's 103-86 win over Orlando in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and one steal across 25 minutes.
Horford, much like teammate Kristaps Porzingis, didn't make an impact offensively in the Game 1 win against Orlando. The two veteran big men combined for 10 points Sunday, but it didn't matter, as Boston was still able to crush the Magic by 17 to take the 1-0 series lead.

Kristaps Porzingis C | GS
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Four swipes in Game 1 win
Porzingis ended Sunday's 103-86 win over Orlando in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with five points (1-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals over 26 minutes.
Porzingis had a rough shooting night in Game 1 against Orlando, going 1-for-8 from the field. However, the veteran scorer was able to impact the game in other areas, as he recorded a game-high four steals to go along with six rebounds. Fortunately for Boston, the Celtics were able to secure a 17-point win to take a 1-0 series lead despite Porzingis' lack of production offensively.

Wendell Carter Jr. C | ORL
Magic's Wendell Carter: Grabs 13 rebounds in loss
Carter chipped in four points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and 13 rebounds in 28 minutes during Sunday's 103-86 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Carter struggled to get going offensively in Game 1 in Boston, finishing with only four points. However, he did make an impact on the glass, grabbing a team-high 13 rebounds. Unfortunately, the Celtics proved to be too much to handle for the Magic in this series opener, resulting in Orlando losing convincingly on the road.

Alperen Sengun C | HOU
Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Leads Houston in Game 1 loss
Sengun amassed a team-high 26 points (11-18 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and three steals in 36 minutes during Sunday's 95-85 loss to the Warriors in Game 1 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
While the Warriors' suffocating defense held the Rockets to 39.1 percent shooting from the floor and 20.7 percent shooting from beyond the arc, Sengun has no such troubles. The fourth-year center has scored in double digits in 10 straight appearances, averaging 20.3 points, 9.3 boards, 4.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.8 blocks, and Houston may need to lean on him heavily to even the series in Game 2 on Wednesday.

Isaiah Hartenstein C | OKC
Thunder's Isaiah Hartenstein: Logs 21 minutes in Game 1 blowout
Hartenstein (Achilles) tallied 14 points (7-8 FG), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal across 21 minutes Sunday in the Thunder's 131-80 win over the Grizzlies in Game 1 of the first-round playoff series.
Hartenstein missed the final three games of the regular season due to left Achilles tendinitis, but he likely would have played in all of those contests if the Thunder hadn't already secured the league's top record. The 26-year-old big man was expected to enter the postseason without any restrictions. Still, he played seven minutes fewer than his season average in Game 1 due to the blowout nature of the contest. Hartenstein checked out of the game for good with 6:57 remaining in the third quarter while Oklahoma City had built a 42-point lead, but the center should see more playing time if the Grizzlies can keep things more competitive in future games in the series.
-
Jarrett Allen C | CLE
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Double-double in Sunday's win
Allen logged 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals across 30 minutes during Sunday's 121-100 win over the Heat in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
After getting frequent rest down the stretch of the regular season while still suiting up for all 82 games, Allen saw his usual workload to begin the postseason. He made an impact on defense in addition to recording his sixth career playoff double-double. At the same time, Allen's minutes and shot volume were down overall in 2024-25. He made up for it with improved efficiency, shooting a career-high 70.6 percent from the floor.

Bam Adebayo PF | MIA
Heat's Bam Adebayo: Hits for team-high 24 in Game 1
Adebayo notched 24 points (10-22 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 39 minutes during Sunday's 121-100 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The 27-year-old big led the Heat in scoring, but he couldn't stop the Cavs from pulling away in the fourth quarter. Adebayo has recorded at least one steal in seven straight appearances, and over his last 12 outings he's averaging 21.5 points, 9.3 boards, 4.1 assists, 1.8 threes, 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks.
