  • Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Questionable against Cleveland

Gafford (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers.

After a strong performance in Friday's win against the Pistons, Gafford may not play in Sunday's game in Cleveland due to left ankle soreness. The 26-year-old big man recorded a double-double in Detroit, finishing with 16 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and five blocks. The Mavericks are already shorthanded in the frontcourt with Dereck Lively (ankle) and Maxi Kleber (foot) out for a considerable amount of time, which means they could lean on P.J. Washington or Kylor Kelley to help shoulder the load in the paint.

  • Mavericks' Dwight Powell: Remaining sidelined

Powell (hip) is out for Sunday's game versus the Cavaliers.

Powell will miss his eighth straight contest Sunday due to a strained right hip. Powell's next chance to suit up is Tuesday's matchup with Philadelphia.

  • Trail Blazers' Robert Williams: Iffy against Phoenix

Williams is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Suns due to right hand soreness.

Williams is in danger of missing Saturday's contest after being added to the injury report late due to hand soreness. However, Williams hadn't played in Portland's previous two outings despite being available, so his potential absence won't affect the team's rotation.

  • Branden Carlson: Back on open market

Carlson became a free agent Saturday after his second 10-day contract with the Thunder expired, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.

Oklahoma City will have to either re-sign Carlson to a two-way deal or rest-of-season contract in order to retain him. While the Thunder could be interested in keeping Carlson in the fold, the team may prefer to keep a spot on the roster open until Thursday's trade deadline to create more flexibility. Across Carlson's 15 appearances for the Thunder this season, he has averaged 3.1 points and 1.7 rebounds in 6.3 minutes.

  • Hornets' Mark Williams: Set to play Saturday

Updating a previous report, Williams (foot) isn't on the injury report for Saturday's game versus the Nuggets.

Williams will return to action Saturday after missing Charlotte's previous two contests due to left foot tendon injury management. The 22-year-old big man should reclaim the starting center job from Taj Gibson. Williams is averaging 18.9 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 blocks in 30.3 minutes across his last 10 appearances.

  • Duop Reath C | ATL

Trail Blazers' Duop Reath: Sent to G League

The Trail Blazers assigned Reath to the G League's Rip City Remix on Saturday.

Reath is averaging just 2.2 points in 5.6 minutes across his 23 NBA appearances this season. The 28-year-old big man should receive increased playing time in the G League.

  • Hornets' Mark Williams: Another absence coming

Williams (foot) won't play in Saturday's game versus the Nuggets.

Williams is set to miss his third consecutive outing Saturday due to left foot tendon injury management. Per Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer, coach Charles Lee said Friday that Williams' absence from the lineup is about managing his long-term health, so it appears to be a precautionary measure. The 22-year-old center's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Washington.

  • Drew Eubanks C | SAC

Clippers' Drew Eubanks: Moved to LA

The Clippers acquired Eubanks and Patty Mills from the Jazz on Saturday in exchange for P.J. Tucker, Mo Bamba, a 2030 second-round pick and cash Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

LA was in the market for a backup center behind Ivica Zubac, as Bamba had recently fallen out of the rotation, which had prompted the Clippers to lean on Nicolas Batum and Kobe Brown as small-options at the position. The 6-foot-10, 245-pound Eubanks gives the Clippers a more traditional backup option, but unless Zubac misses time, Eubanks is unlikely to see enough playing time to gain relevance outside of deeper leagues. Over his 37 appearances (four starts) for Utah this season, Eubanks averaged 5.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.9 blocks in 15.4 minutes.

  • Mo Bamba C | UTA

Jazz's Mo Bamba: Shipped to Utah

The Jazz acquired Bamba, P.J. Tucker, a 2030 second-round pick and cash from the Clippers on Saturday in exchange for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

After missing most of the first month of the season while recovering from a knee issue, Bamba debuted Nov. 17 for the Clippers and had regularly been serving as the top backup to starting center Ivica Zubac. However, the 26-year-old recently fell out of favor, appearing in just one of the team's last three games before the Clippers shipped him out and brought back Eubanks, who should settle in as LA's new backup center. Eubanks had been filling a regular spot in Utah's rotation, but Bamba may not be guaranteed regular playing time with the Jazz while both Walker Kessler and Kyle Filipowski are healthy and likely to be prioritized ahead of Bamba, who is on an expiring contract. If Bamba does find himself getting meaningful playing time at any point, he could be an appealing fantasy option; he turned in strong per-minute averages of 4.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 12.6 minutes over his 28 appearances with the Clippers.

  • Nikola Jokic C | DEN

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Teases triple-double Friday

Jokic accumulated 28 points (11-16 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds, 13 assists and two steals over 37 minutes during Friday's 137-134 victory over the 76ers.

The perennial MVP candidate nearly collected his 22nd triple-double of the season, instead settling for his 35th double-double -- fourth in the league behind Domantas Sabonis (42), Karl-Anthony Towns (38) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (36). Jokic is having a career-best campaign as a distributor. He's even picked up the pace in that regard over the second half of January -- he's recorded double-digit dimes in eight of his last nine appearances, averaging 23.8 points, 11.7 boards, 11.2 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.6 threes and 0.9 blocks while shooting 65.4 percent from the floor and an eye-popping 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.
