NBA Player News

  • Jock Landale C | ATL

Rockets' Jock Landale: Out again Thursday

Landale (personal) will not play Thursday versus the Kings.

Landale will miss a second game in a row Thursday, but this news doesn't have many fantasy implications with Steven Adams soaking up most of the backup center minutes lately.

  • Trail Blazers' Robert Williams: Upgraded to questionable

Williams (illness) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Clippers.

Williams has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable Thursday after missing Portland's previous two contests due to an illness. If Wiliams is further upgraded to available, he should receive backup center minutes with Donovan Clingan (ankle) out.

  • Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Dishes career-high seven assists

Okongwu accumulated 14 points (5-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 13 rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 110-94 victory over the Bulls.

Okongwu is coming off back-to-back double-doubles while showing his passing skills in Wednesday's win over Chicago. The 23-year-old dished out a career-high seven assists against the Bulls as he proved he can fill up the stat sheet in more ways than just points and rebounds during a career year with the Hawks.

  • Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Struggles offensively in loss

Wembanyama ended Wednesday's 129-115 loss to the Grizzlies with 13 points (5-19 FG, 3-10 3Pt), 12 rebounds, two assists, eight blocks and two steals in 37 minutes.

Wembanyama may have recorded eight blocks in Wednesday's loss to Memphis while also grabbing 12 rebounds, but he struggled offensively, scoring his fourth-lowest point total of the season with 13 points. The French import averages a career-high 24.7 points per game, and his stats have increased across the board. However, he occasionally struggles in point production, scoring less than 20 points 10 times this season for the Spurs.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Grabs season-high 14 boards

Sharpe accumulated 12 points (5-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-7 FT), 14 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 126-67 loss to the Clippers.

Sharpe was active on both ends of the court and finished with a double-double in a game where his team lost by a whopping 59 points. The 14 boards were a season-high mark for Sharpe, who is finding ways to make his presence felt every time he gets minutes. That said, his upside will remain pretty low as long as he continues to play off the bench regularly.

  • Ivica Zubac C | IND

Clippers' Ivica Zubac: Efficient in blowout win

Zubac amassed 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-3 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 126-67 victory over the Nets.

Zubac was efficient and filled the stat sheet admirably, ending just one rebound shy of recording yet another double-double despite logging just 22 minutes. The low minute total is directly tied to the blowout nature of the game, so Zubac should handle his regular workload when the Clippers take on the Trail Blazers on Thursday in the second leg of a back-to-back set.

  • Bam Adebayo PF | MIA

Heat's Bam Adebayo: Muted scoring in return

Adebayo posted 10 points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, five assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 117-108 loss to the Lakers.

Adebayo returned to action Wednesday after missing Miami's previous contest due to a lower back contusion. While the 27-year-old big man had a difficult matchup with Anthony Davis, he has been struggling to score all year. Adebayo has gone from averaging 19.3 points on 52.1 percent shooting from the field in 2023-24 to averaging 16.0 points on 45.6 percent shooting from the field in 2024-25.

  • Nuggets' DeAndre Jordan: Quiet night as starter

Jordan grabbed eight boards, blocked three shots and recorded one steal through 23 minutes in Wednesday's 128-108 loss to the Rockets.

In Nikola Jokic's (elbow) absence, Jordan was active on the glass as expected but failed to even take a shot during Wednesday's contest, making his second start of the season a bit of a dud for fantasy purposes. In his last start with Jokic out, the veteran big man put up 12 points and nine rebounds, so he's not without value if Jokic continues to miss time, but he's certainly unreliable, as he proved Wednesday. Jordan's next chance to start comes Friday against the Heat.

  • Hornets' Mark Williams: Records career-high 31 points

Williams racked up 31 points (12-14 FG, 7-10 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 117-112 victory over the Jazz.

With Nick Richards being traded to Phoenix, Williams no longer has to split playing time at center. Williams capitalized during his first game in this enhanced role by logging a career-high 31 points and 36 minutes. Across his last 10 outings, the 22-year-old big man is averaging 16.9 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 26.0 minutes while shooting 65.3 percent from the field.

  • Rockets' Alperen Sengun: Flirts with triple-double in win

Sengun put up 20 points (9-21 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 26 minutes during the 128-108 victory over the Nuggets on Wednesday.

If it feels like Sengun is on triple-double watch regularly, it's because he is. Although he's only hit the mark once this year, he's constantly hovering around it, and Wednesday was no different. The big man came just one board and two assists shy of a triple-double, but along with his pair of steals, the line still made for a solid fantasy night. He'll remain a premier fantasy option, particularly in category leagues, as he looks to stay on track Thursday against the Kings.
