  • Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Questionable for Wednesday

Gafford (illness) is questionable to face the Knicks on Wednesday.

Gafford was a very late addition to the injury report which is not a good sign for fantasy managers. Starting center Dereck Lively is also questionable with an illness, so the Mavericks could potentially be very shorthanded in the frontcourt. If needed, the Mavericks could turn to Dwight Powell, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris.

  • Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Ruled out for Wednesday

Filipowski (leg) will not play Wednesday against the Nuggets.

As expected, Filipowski will miss his third game in a row for the Jazz. Lauri Markkanen (personal) has also been ruled out, while John Collins (knee) is questionable. Brice Sensabaugh and Drew Eubanks could see an uptick in minutes as a result.

  • John Collins PF | LAC

Jazz's John Collins: Questionable against Denver

Collins is questionable to face the Nuggets on Wednesday due to a knee contusion.

This is a new injury for Collins, but the Jazz will be hopeful that he can power through it as they will already be shorthanded Wednesday -- Lauri Markkanen (personal) and Kyle Filipowski (leg) have already been ruled out. If Collins does suit up, he'll offer considerable upside with so many touches up for grabs.

  • Jaxson Hayes C | LAL

Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Doubtful for Wednesday

Hayes is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Spurs due to a right ankle contusion, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

After returning for Tuesday's 127-100 loss to the Suns following a six-game absence Tuesday against the Suns due to a right ankle sprain, Hayes tallied seven points (2-2 FG, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes before leaving late in the contest after aggravated the injury. While his updated diagnosis of a contusion rather than another sprain of the ankle is encouraging, it's no surprise that the Lakers aren't counting on Hayes being available for the second leg of the back-to-back set Wednesday. With Hayes likely to sit out, Christian Koloko is expected to serve as starting center Anthony Davis' primary backup.

  • Steven Adams C | HOU

Rockets' Steven Adams: Off injury report for Wednesday

Adams (knee) doesn't appear on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.

After missing the entire 2023-24 season while recovering from right knee surgery, Adams' workload has been monitored carefully during his inaugural campaign with the Rockets. He's appeared in consecutive games on just two occasions all season, but after sitting out Tuesday's 117-111 overtime win over Minnesota, he should rejoin the rotation Wednesday as starting center Alperen Sengun's top backup.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Probable for Wednesday

Davis (foot) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

Davis continues to manage soreness in his left foot, but it appears as though he'll push through it for the second leg of this back-to-back set. Davis fared well Tuesday against the Suns, producing 25 points (10-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and one steal over 35 minutes.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Cleared for practice

Sharpe (hamstring) has been cleared to return to on-court team activities, the Nets announced Wednesday.

The Nets are hopeful to have Sharpe back within a week, putting a potential return on Dec. 1 against the Magic on the table. With so many injuries in Brooklyn, Sharpe has enough upside to make him worth a look as a stash in deeper formats.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Ruled out for Wednesday

Claxton (back) will not play Wednesday against the Suns.

Claxton will miss a second straight game due to injury management, and the Nets are listing him as day-to-day going forward. It's pretty clear that the franchise is going to proceed with caution whenever its key players are not 100 percent. Claxton's next chance to play comes Friday against Orlando.

  • Wizards' Jonas Valanciunas: Plays just 14 minutes

Valanciunas recorded four points (2-4 FG), three rebounds and one assist over 14 minutes during Tuesday's 127-108 loss to the Bulls.

Valanciunas' minutes continue to trend in the wrong direction, as he's now played 19 or fewer minutes in four straight contests. He's usually been very productive in limited minutes, but Tuesday's game was an outlier. He'll be a popular trade candidate going forward, and a change of scenery could provide a big boost to his upside.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Paces team with double-double

Davis notched 25 points (10-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and one steal over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 127-100 loss to the Suns.

Davis did his best to keep up with the Suns, but Phoenix's first-unit restoration generated a lot of excitement and momentum that carried the day. Davis has hit the double-double threshold in six of his last seven games and will next face off against Victor Wembanyama, who Davis bested in their first meeting this season with a 40-point, 12-rebound double-double.
