  • Pelicans' Dejounte Murray: Nearing return to action

Murray (Achilles) is expected to make his season debut at some point in the next week, Erin Summers of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network reports.

After tearing his Achilles in January of last year, Murray is in the final stages of his rehab while fully participating in practice. Although the star guard is closing in on making his first appearance of the 2025-26 campaign, Murray is almost certainly bound for a significant minutes restriction for at least his first several games back on the court. Murray's eventual return is likely to cut into the playing time of Jeremiah Fears at point guard.

  • Tre Jones PG | CHI

Bulls' Tre Jones: Expected to play

Jones (hamstring) is probable for Thursday's game versus the Raptors.

After initially being listed with a questionable tag, Jones is on track to return from an 11-game absence. With that in mind, it's likely that he faces restrictions in his first game back. It will be interesting to see how the backcourt rotation shapes up with Collin Sexton, Jaden Ivey and Anfernee Simons all vying for minutes.

  • Josh Giddey PG | CHI

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Upgraded to probable

Giddey (hamstring) is probable for Thursday's game versus the Raptors.

Giddey was initially listed as questionable, but the reports out of Chicago have been positive. The point guard was a full participant at Wednesday's practice and should officially get the green light to suit up shortly.

  • OG Anunoby SF | NY

Knicks' OG Anunoby: Upgraded to probable

Anunoby (toe) is probable for Thursday's game against the Pistons.

Anunoby had previously been listed as questionable, but he looks poised to put an end to a four-game absence due to a right toenail avulsion. The veteran forward was a full participant in practice Wednesday and said afterward that he expects to play Thursday.

  • Antonio Reeves SG | CHA

Hornets' Antonio Reeves: Recalled to NBA

The Hornets have recalled Reeves from the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Thursday.

With the Hornets coming out of the break, Reeves is being called upon to provide the team with emergency depth. He'll likely be back with the Swarm in the near future.

  • John Tonje SG | BOS

Celtics' John Tonje: Earns 10-day deal

The Celtics are converting Tonje's two-way deal to a 10-day contract, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports Thursday.

Tonje's two-way contract was acquired by the Celtics ahead of the deadline. He was a standout with Boston's G League affiliate in Maine during limited action, but at least in the short term, he will get a shot to earn some minutes at the NBA level.

  • Knicks' Pacome Dadiet: Assigned to G League

New York assigned Dadiet to the G League's Westchester Knicks on Wednesday.

With the Knicks signing Jeremy Sochan, opportunities for Dadiet will be limited going forward. However, it's possible Dadiet is recalled ahead of Thursday's game against the Pistons.

  • Will Richard PG | GS

Warriors' Will Richard: Available to play

Richard (knee) is available to play Thursday against Boston.

After missing the final game before the All-Star break, Richard is no longer appearing on the injury report. He's expected to play a minimal role on the wings moving forward.

  • Hornets' Tosan Evbuomwan: Off injury report for Thursday

Evbuomwan (illness) isn't listed on the Hornets' injury report for Thursday's game against the Rockets.

The two-way player appears to have moved past the illness that kept him out for the G League Greensboro Swarm's final two contests before the All-Star break. Though Evbuomwan has rejoined the Hornets, he's unlikely to be included in head coach Charles Lee's rotation.

  • Dalano Banton SG | BOS

Celtics' Dalano Banton: Lands 10-day deal with Boston

Banton signed a 10-day contract with the Celtics on Thursday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

Banton was quickly scooped up by Boston after his previous 10-day contract with the Clippers expired. Banton has plenty of NBA experience and is expected to be an emergency depth option in Boston.
