  • Josh Hart SF | NY

Knicks' Josh Hart: Game-time call for Friday

Hart is questionable for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers due to right ankle soreness, Stefan Bondy of The New York Post reports.

Hart has once again popped up on the injury report due to an ankle issue. He managed to play through the injury Wednesday against Toronto, though the team will presumably wait until closer to tipoff to disclose whether Hart will suit up Friday evening.

  • Deni Avdija SG | POR

Trail Blazers' Deni Avdija: Iffy for Friday

Avdija is questionable for Friday's game against the Knicks due to a lower-back strain.

The star forward recently missed two games with the injury, so Portland is continuing to monitor his health. If Avdija can't give it a go Friday, Sidy Cissoko would likely jump into the starting lineup. More playing time would also be available for Caleb Love off the bench.

  • Jaylen Brown SF | BOS

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Doubtful for Friday

Brown is considered doubtful for Friday's game against the Kings due to a right knee contusion and left hamstring tightness, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.

Brown appears headed for a night off as he deals with several lower-body injuries. If he's downgraded to out before tipoff, look for Hugo Gonzalez to draw a start at small forward.

  • Austin Reaves SG | LAL

Lakers' Austin Reaves: Questionable for Friday

Reaves is questionable for Friday's game against the Wizards with a left calf strain, Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The questionable tag is an encouraging sign, giving Reaves a chance to suit up for the first time since Dec. 25. If the star guard is finally ready to return to action, Marcus Smart's fantasy value could take a considerable hit. Fewer minutes would be open to Jarred Vanderbilt as well.

  • Luka Doncic PG | LAL

Lakers' Luka Doncic: Questionable for Friday

Doncic is questionable for Friday's game versus the Wizards due to left ankle soreness, Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Doncic tweaked his left ankle during Wednesday's loss to the Cavs and now is in danger of missing Friday's game. We'll have a better idea on his status following Friday's shootaround, but if Doncic is out, that would open up a lot of minutes for Gabe Vincent and Marcus Smart, and Rui Hachimura could see a sizeable uptick in usage.

  • Jalen Johnson SF | ATL

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Won't play Thursday

Johnson is out for Thursday's game against the Rockets due to left calf tightness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

After playing 33 minutes during Wednesday's 117-106 victory over Boston, the star forward is sitting out the second half of this back-to-back. With Onyeka Okongwu (face) also ruled out, the Hawks are likely to ask more of Corey Kispert, Luke Kennard and Mouhamed Gueye in the frontcourt Thursday.

  • Aaron Gordon PF | DEN

Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Out 4-to-6 weeks

Gordon (hamstring) will be re-evaluated in 4-to-6 weeks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Thursday.

This is a brutal blow for Denver and for Gordon's fantasy managers. If he's re-evaluated at the front end of this timetable, a return against the Thunder on Feb. 27 would be the best-case scenario. In Gordon's absence, Peyton Watson will likely take on a larger role, and Spencer Jones and Bruce Brown could see more run as well.

  • Franz Wagner PF | ORL

Magic's Franz Wagner: Another absence coming

Wagner (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Raptors, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Wagner will miss his fifth straight game Friday, Magic appear to be taking a cautious approach with the forward, who has yet to resume taking part in full-contact work while he gives his sprained left ankle more time to heal. Anthony Black has been a breakout performer for the Magic and should be locked into a high-minute starting role at least until Wagner is ready to play again.

  • Duop Reath C | ATL

Trail Blazers' Duop Reath: Undergoes season-ending surgery

The Trail Blazers announced Thursday that Reath has undergone season-ending right foot surgery.

Reath was diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right foot, which required surgery, and his 2025-26 campaign is now over. Before going down, the 29-year-old big man averaged 2.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 8.1 minutes per contest through games this season. With Reath now done for the year, Robert Williams is in line to serve as Portland's primary backup at center behind Donovan Clingan the rest of the way.

  • Jalen Green SG | PHO

Suns' Jalen Green: Sitting out Thursday

Green is out for Thursday's game against the Pistons due to right hamstring injury management.

Green just can't seem to get past the injury that's troubled him since training camp, and the Suns continue to exercise caution with the star guard. Until Green finally gets back up to speed, Jordan Goodwin should continue to take on a more prominent role in the Phoenix backcourt. Jamaree Bouyea should remain in the mix as well.
