  • Naji Marshall SG | DAL

    Mavericks' Naji Marshall: Resting Thursday

Marshall will be rested Thursday against the Hornets.

Marshall will be held out for the second leg of this back-to-back set. He's been shouldering a big workload for the Mavericks with 31.5 minutes over his last six games. Meanwhile, Cooper Flagg is off the injury report, and Klay Thompson (knee) is probable to play.

  • Miles Bridges PF | CHA

Hornets' Miles Bridges: Gets back on track

Bridges registered 20 points (8-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt), six rebounds and three assists over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 112-97 win over the Grizzlies.

Bridges entered Wednesday's game averaging just 11.8 points in his past six contests, including two single-digit scoring efforts. He appears to be back on track now after scoring 20 points for the second time in his past three games. He also sank four threes against Memphis as the Hornets won comfortably.

  • Cooper Flagg SF | DAL

Mavericks' Cooper Flagg: Absent from injury report

Flagg (ankle) is off the injury report for Thursday's game against the Hornets.

Flagg is returning from a one-game absence with an ankle injury. The rookie standout could push Caleb Martin to the bench. Over his last eight appearances, Flagg has averaged 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 30.4 minutes per game.

  • Tre Jones PG | CHI

Bulls' Tre Jones: Out again Thursday

Jones (hamstring) will not play Thursday against the Heat.

No surprise here, as the expectation is that Jones will miss multiple games for the Bulls. He was initially given a two-week timetable but showed up on the last injury report as doubtful, suggesting he's day-to-day. Ayo Dosunmu and Kevin Huerter will likely see an uptick in minutes in the meantime.

  • Jalen Smith PF | CHI

Bulls' Jalen Smith: Probable for Thursday

Smith is probable for Thursday's game against Miami with right calf soreness.

For now, the expectation is that Smith will push through this injury for the second leg of this back-to-back set. During Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Smith fared well with 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 28 minutes.

  • Josh Giddey PG | CHI

Bulls' Josh Giddey: Iffy for Thursday

Giddey (hamstring) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Heat.

Thursday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, so the Bulls are considering a maintenance day -- Giddey is listed as questionable due to injury management. If Chicago's franchise point guard is unable to play, the Bulls could lean more on Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu and Kevin Huerter.

  • Asa Newell PF | ATL

Hawks' Asa Newell: Rejoins parent club

Atlanta recalled Newell from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Thursday.

Newell hasn't appeared in any of the Hawks' last four games while seeing most of his playing time in the G League of late, but he could re-enter the rotation Thursday against the Rockets while Atlanta is without Onyeka Okongwu (dental fracture) and Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles). The Hawks will likely prioritize Mouhamed Gueye and Christian Koloko in the frontcourt ahead of Newell, though all three players could end up seeing major minutes Thursday if Jalen Johnson (calf) -- who is listed as questionable -- joins Okongwu and Porzingis on the sideline.

  • Dylan Harper PG | SA

Spurs' Dylan Harper: Heats up with 16 points off bench

Harper contributed 16 points (8-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and one block across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 111-99 victory over the Rockets.

The rookie first-rounder provided a spark off the bench, turning in his highest-scoring output since the Jan. 2 win in Indiana. Harper has been a solid source of offense as a reserve for the Spurs, averaging 10.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 21.5 minutes per game over his last eight appearances.

  • Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Nearly double-doubles

Allen finished Wednesday's 129-99 win over the Lakers with 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and one steal across 24 minutes.

Allen finished one rebound shy of a double-double, and he saw a reduced workload due to the lopsided score. With Evan Mobley (calf) sidelined for a while, Allen has a nice little window in front of him for increased fantasy appeal.

  • Cavaliers' Nae'Qwan Tomlin: Fares well off bench

Tomlin logged eight points (4-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 129-99 win over the Lakers.

With Evan Mobley (calf) out and De'Andre Hunter's name in the rumor mill quite a bit, Tomlin is a candidate to see an increased role after the trade deadline. Over his last seven games, he's seen 22.5 minutes per contest with 7.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.4 three-pointers.
